Golf Accomplishments, or not accomplishments

One hole in one. It only took me about 20 years. Best part was that my son and wife were with me.

Shot my 1st under par competitive round at age of 15 (69).

Played some college golf, but I wasn't very good compared to the rest and I got burnt out and lost interest.

Missed a 6 inch put in a tournament one time.

I don't play much anymore, maybe 6-8 time per year, and I don't care if I shoot 70 or 90.

Zero aces but I’ve witnessed two. Been within 3 feet a handful of times.

Been in two fights on golf courses. Neither of which were initiated by me or my group.

My first ever par happened in the second round I ever played. I was 12 and pulled out a driver on #11 par 3 at Santa Maria. A 3 skipper through the water in front of the green to about 5 feet. Two putt par.

I’ve shot 80 a dozen or more times but have yet to post a round in the 70’s.

I’ve made one hole in one. #13 at the Island in Plaquemine.

Wildly I made a double eagle on #11 at University Club! It was unreal.

Holed out several times from 80-120 or so out.

Shot 30 on the front 9 at the Island in a clear in the zone like experience.

Shot 66 at the LSU golf course with two bogeys. I beat my buddy by 18 shots that day (be shot 84). Just one of those days where everything was clicking.

Holed out from a bunker to save par after an initial bunker shot was plugged. That one was funny!

I’m like you on hole outs from distance but from off the green with the Texas wedge. Usually happens at least once a round.

I missed a 2 foot putt for eagle on a par four after hitting a three wood on the green to that distance. Was a total flop. That was 10 years ago and my buddies still don’t let that one go.

Golf is a great game and one we should all play more of......

My dad has an interesting one and he’s the got the score cards to prove it. He only shot in the 70’s 4 times but each of the four times he had the freak occurrence of holing out from the fairway (eagle—1 time on 18), ace (2 times), and making a double eagle (1 time). He claims to have shot 80 or 81 around 50 times in his life but really had trouble breaking through without divine intervention.

I hit a tee shot on a par 3, thought it rolled off the back of the green for an impossible chip, broke my 9 iron, got up there and actually had a pin high chip and made par. Then made 5 pars in a row for the only time ever

-3 double eagles (#5 @ LSU, #3 @ LSU, #11 @ BC)

-Holed out from 120 (pw) in a tournament after a closest to the hole challenge from my playing partner - he bought my lunch! I believe it was #6 @ Pelican Point, Par 5??

-Played in 6 Monday qualifiers (realized I wasn't cut out for that life)

-Finished even par or worse after being 3-5 under at the turn (many occasions)

-Finished under par after being 3-5 over at the turn (2 occasions)

-two bogey free rounds that I remember in tournaments

I was about a foot from making a hole in one once. That's all really. I suck.
