re: The Shrink Next Door

The wife and I are through 4 episodes. We really want to like it, but it is difficult to watch.

The show is so slow moving. It should be a few episodes shorter.

1/2 way through season 3.

Watching the series can be exhausting with all of the stress and suspense. The cast goes from one life and death situation to another.
I got this for a tv on the back porch.
It works great and I am about 25 miles from the stations.

Dead grass from storm damage

Posted by mswiggins on 9/27/21 at 2:07 pm
Two big trees fell in my back yard. A good portion of the yard is now just dead grass. I have St Aug. What is the best way to promote growth?

Throw out a winter cover seed and then get the St Aug to fill back in next year? The grass areas are basically mud right now.

Other? Thanks
My wife and I love 8 O'clock French roast, but it can be hard to find sometimes. We order it from Amazon.
In the full survey for the worst mascots, Cayenne at Louisiana Lafayette is #3.

ULL has not had that mascot in over a decade.

And where is the Duke Blue Devil?
Designated Survivor - It should have been a mini series, not a full blown multi season show.

The Blind Spot - Wanted to like it, but it was aweful.
Yogurt cups went from 8oz to 6oz then to 5.3oz.

Why tax the churches?

Is the push to tax the property?

Any employees pay income tax. There is no profit to tax because churches are non profit. So it has to be property tax.
Over 50% of the churches average less than 100 in their service each week. These churches are not rolling in money.
All this talk about the amount of the power bill just confuses things. Rate could vary from month to month. You need to look at usage in kwh or mwh.

Jebadeb, you need to have someone look at your system.
Those usage numbers are way out of the ordinary. You either have a bad meter or something is using way to much electricity.

The only things it could be is A/C, stove, hot water
heater or dryer. Basically anything that is 220VAC.

I would think anything else would trip the breaker if it was using that much energy.
Do you mean 2000 watts for the generator?

If you are only powering an A/C window unit and some lights, then you really don't need a small breaker panel, but it would be nice.

Elizabeth's on 37th.
The catfish house just outside of town in Millbrook is nice. The white beans and hushpuppies are great as I remember.
An engineer started work at Company A. Works for two weeks and then doesn't show up anymore.

It seems he never quit his job at Company B and went back working there. He just took two weeks vacation from Company B and wanted to see if he liked working at Company A.

Call TPC and find out. I think resident rate is for anyone in Louisiana.

"Rate only applies to Louisiana residents, Louisiana ID must be presented to be valid. Rates may vary."

Are those non resident rates? Resident rates are much less.

I think TPC is trying to have more tee times available for out of town people who pay the highest rate.

But the annual pass went from $3000 a year to $4000 a year. Plus you still have to pay a cart fee. And I think the booking window went from 14 days down to 7.

I also don't think that is TPC Louisiana pictured.

I believe that is an old picture of 18 at TPC.
The bunkers are different now and you don't have that big mound about 50 yards short of the green.

TPC has gone up on big time on membership fees and it appears on everyday green fees as well. They are losing a lot of members over the price increases.

Coffee County, Alabama

This isn't correct.

Coffee County has one county seat. The first county seat was in Wellborn. After the courthouse was destroyed by fire in 1851, the county seat was moved to Elba.

There may be some County Government buildings in the larger city of Enterprise, but Elba is the county seat.

This weekend? The Zurich Classic was last weekend.

Some friends sent us a card by USPS mail. It took 15 days to go less than 10 miles. It didn't have to leave the Parish.

But I also got a USPS priority mail package that went from Oregon to SE Louisiana in 3 days.
I am volunteering Friday and Saturday, so of course it calls for rain. Rain makes for super long days. You are there from sun up to sun down.

In the 6 years or so, there has only been one year with no weather issues.
The course is really flat, so IMHO your best bet is to camp out somewhere where you can get close to a green.

You can put a chair down close to #1 green and the players will walk right next to you to get to #2 tee.
I have spent a lot of time at the #1 green, but I am volunteering.

I also like the #8 green. The green is small and you get close to it.

#17 green is fun as well. Again the players will walk right by you.

You could park in the area between #11 green and #14 green. You can easily move around some to see the tee shots on #15 and #17.

Anyone know when the final lineup is posted for the Zurich?

I believe that players have until this Friday to commit to the tournament, so the list won't be finalized until Friday night/Saturday morning.

Don't look for Brooks Koepka to play. He is taking time off again.
