I was going to simply say "tits and simps", which I guess ultimately results in "money".

Come on. You know that was the best era for video games as well as the late 90s/early 2000s

You think companies like Rockstar, Microsoft, and Blizzard don't know their demographics?
Blizzard has been actively going against the demographic that actually plays their games for the better part of a decade. Not the best example.

Twitch is not indicative of real life. Yeah there are more female gamers now but 90+% of the gamer population is men.

Yep, but it's easy for a moderately attractive GenZ girl to dress scantily and play games that mostly draw the male base, and stream it for clicks and money.

It's crazy that it's so easy to make a living for them. When their looks ultimately fade, I feel sorry for them. "Dressing like anime cat and streaming Call of Duty live for horny men" won't look so good as their only qualification on a resume' for a real job. Maybe she'll have married a decent, middle class, horny gamer guy by then who will put up with her unemployed arse because she puts out.

And Twitch just updated TOS yesterday to allow for more nudity and unbanned twerking etc.

Gonna be honest I don’t get the wanting to watch others play a game.

I’ve always been a rather play than watch people play.

I like the edited versions of people playing Rust (Welyn, Blooprint), and some of the more funny content creators basically breaking games (Reggie, SpiffingBrit).

I've beaten Dark Souls 1 three times. Still really enjoy watching The Backlogs do challenge runs. Not only is the gameplay interesting in and of itself, but he's an interesting, funny guy. Just all around enjoyable experience.

I’m the same. Can’t stand watching Twitch.

That said, when I played my first Souls game a few years ago (Demon’s on PS5) I was so confused by leveling up and scaling. FightinCowboy’s YT videos really helped me learn how to play those games

They are making money streaming. They see the numbers as to what gets the most views and adjust accordingly
