I just want something other than 4v4 random control and pickup.

And an inventory that makes sense for mods.

The mod syatem makes 0 sense. I don't use any of that crap. Also, getting the same exotic helmet evwry drop sucks.

Boring strikes. Same map over and over in crucible. They should go back to rolls for weapons woth different stats.

Agreed. I probably spent 100-200 hours alone chasing certain weapon rolls in D1.

The only thing that has me interested about future improvements is the ranked PvP. But I feel like it’s gonna be a year until that is added and even then i’m Sure it will be fricked up.

Random rolls added a lot of grind time to D1 for sure. Everything felt so much more powerful as well. You felt like you were there to conquer the galaxy. D2 makes you feel like a regular ol dude with a pair of springy boots.

I got in to D1 after the taken king and enjoyed it immensly. Im hoping that after some later expansions D2 will get the same way, but ill wait for the reports to come in

I was such a fanboy during Destiny 1. I would've followed that game into hell.

Bought D2 with the highest of hopes and excitement.

Havent played it in at least 3 months. Couldn't be less interested in returning.

Dude Destiny 2's build up for me was really similar to LSUs football season. Such excitement and anticipation. New raids, new weapons. With LSU, new genius OC. Both ended with such letdown. Playing D2 for the first week was like watching LSU lose to Troy.

At least LSU will turn things around. Can't say the same for Bungie.

I think for a lot of us, we were hopeful for a big improvement but would have been happy for a prettier version of Destiny 1. And they couldn't even pull that off.

Id have been satisfied with that. A prettier version with new stuff and less randomness to tge universe.

D2 is a turd of a game IMO

Yep. They took out the space magic of a game based around space magic. They made stuff like the firefly perk completely useless in D2. It does nothing (outside of the sunshot pistol). The guns are all bland and boring.

D1 had a ton of issues before TTK. The issue with D1 was more of just lack on content (though some mechanic issues and loot issues). D2's biggest issue is there is nothing to strive for once you do a strike/mission or anything. Once you get a particular gun, no matter what you do you'll only ever get that exact same gun again.

And the biggest problem is the guns are all the same. I can do just as well in a crucible with a pulse rifle, a scout rifle, or an auto rifle. Staying with a team is king; there is no differentiation between weapons.

In D1, the weapons were all unique, and certain rolls impacted strikes and crucibles. The mod system sucks, and the masterworks is a waste of time.

I play it still because I play with my son and we do crucibles (quick and fast unlike PUBG), but the mechanics of the game are trash.

Bungie knows this, and they must be bleeding customers. They should just bring back rolls on weapons, but I doubt they could do that with the current engine.

90% of people will admit this. the other 10% are unable to overcome cognitive dissonance

If y’all can live without the PvP, y’all should try Warframe. This damn game sucked me in recently and I don’t see myself quitting anytime soon. Insane amounts of customization, and the core gameplay loop is extremely fun.

E: it’s also f2p, and you can legitimately play it that way (but I will definitely be spending some money at some point cause the devs deserve it)

Ii don’t play destiny but I thought the general consensus was that the first one sucked and the 2nd was awesome? My roommate has been playing the shite out of 2. I’ve watched him a few times and it looks fun as hell

Definitely not. The 2nd one has been a colossal failure so far. D1 had a ton of issues to start out too, however they fixed them going into year 2 the game was very good. D2, they have yet to show the ability or intent to fix what is wrong with this one.

Not at all.

People did shite on D1 when it first came out. Because it had a lot of things a more casual player would hate.
Short Single player
Non existent story
Grind
Skill Gap in PVP
Best content was gated.
Crazy hype. People like to hate on hyped games.
But the game was really fun for those who liked it and highly addictive. The Taken King also fixed the majority of the problems. And added some, but I won't get into that.

D2 has a major issue in that they catered everything around the casual gamer.
No need to grind loot
No need to grind high light for any reason (PvP or PVE)
Weapons were really dumbed down, especially exotics.
PVP time to kill increased so high that team shooting is a must.
No worthwhile rewards for doing endgame content.
But they did improve the story and the campaign
(Note I have not touched it in 3 months so no idea what has changed.)

I will say this, I did not think D2 was shite, I enjoyed the heck out of it but there is nothing to do once you beat the campaign. Doesn't have the hook from before. But by catering to casuals they killed off the hardcore fans which is what keeps the game popular. Screw up on their part to sale as many copies as they could.

I'm pissed I bought destiny 2 because I went against all judgment I've built up over the last several years.

I've been good about waiting on games and buying them only after they're confirmed to be worthy. I didn't do that here. I felt like destiny 1 was an incomplete game with so much more they could have done, And it should have been a major red flag when they made another game which was basically a reskin.

I was a huge D1 fan, and have been playing D2 consistently up until a few weeks ago and just kinda lost interest. Kinda depressing.
