Agree!
It’s a genuine rush, and the cutscenes are balanced out nicely w participatory action.

Probably the best game I played in its generation. There’s a reason FFVII Rebirth ripped off so many of its exploration mechanics.
Excellent story, one of my favorite combat systems, breathtakingly beautiful world, super innovative way finding system that doesn’t require a minimap, and enough flexibility to enable lots of different play styles.
With that, it does have some flaws:
1. You can’t skip cutscenes, and they can get long.
2. The third act really drags relative to the first two acts.
3. Clearing mongol bases can get repetitive and grindy after a while, but they’re mostly optional.
4. The DLC content feels noticeably lower quality.
5. If you don’t like stealth (like me. I prefer to be an OP bull in a china shop barging in through the front door), a lot of story line quests require it, which can get annoying. You get an auto fail on the quests for getting spotted by enemies you may be more than capable of killing all of.

It has a lot of stealth crap and you kinda just press the same buttons over and over
It’s like knock off assasins creed

Absolutely worth it.

if it was as great a game as everyone here is trying to say it is, i wouldnt have to skip half the game for it not to be repetitive and have the skill points/supplies matter
I 100% the game. No idea what you are talking about.
At some point every game is repetitive.
I play Diablo, all that is killing hordes over and over again really.
Every fps is repetitively shooting shite.
For me, the souls games are repetitively dying.

Clearing the camps was like clearing castles in shadow of war it just got tedious although calling them out like bitches was always fun

People are complaining about GoT being repetitive, but there are multiple different things you can do with the points to make the experience different by changing your character's play style and how they progress.
I'd also say a lot of the game's value is allowing yourself to be immersed in the story, graphics, etc... instead of just trying to beat the game as quickly as possible.
By definition games like FFVII are "repetitive" if you don't allow yourself to enjoy more than just the combat.

Well I love the combat of ghost, so it’s not repetitive if you enjoy fricking people up.
I love the shooting in destiny 2. It’s why I played it for so damn long.
If I pick up a fps and don’t like the feel, I just go back to destiny.

I agree, Ghosts is far from repetitive
You can make any game seem repetitive if you speak about core gameplay in an overly broad sense
Super Mario Bros is so repetitive, just breaking blocks and jumping on shite
Witcher 3 is just finding monsters and swinging a sword
Basketball is so repetitive, just throwing a ball into a hoop over and over
John Wick is so repetitive, just kills people over and over

One of my all time favorite games. I wish I could erase my mind and play it again for the first time. I envy you.

Steam tells me it's like AC4 and Shadow of War. SoW "stealth" I can deal with, the parkour clicky clicky BS of AC4 (or any AC I've tried) is a non starter. In particular, the ridiculous timed "follow the path" runs in AC have caused me to rage quit never to return two separate AC games.
So which is it more like?

I just finished Act 2
I'd put the story and emotional weight above most movies

I’d say it’s closer to SoW-style gameplay than AC, but there are some climbing/parkour elements to help with stealth verticality and traversal. Especially after you get access to the grappling hook around halfway through the story. They are not the core gameplay loop though, which is still shinobi or samurai focused.
Tsushima doesn’t really have the architecture style or topography to support serious parkour gameplay. The most you’ll do is walk on a tent wire or stand on top of a yurt.
