I'm just surprised that anyone wants to play this bigoted series since they are only JUST NOW introducing trans scars.

I'm angry at Bioware and myself for not knowing in 2009 that I needed to have trans scars on my proud they/them warrior.

Back then Bioware and other developers focused on regressive game design elements like plot and character development. If only we could go back make it more progressive!

What???

The basis was clearly "they wouldn't have trans surgery, because polymorph". . . .not that evil wizards couldn't attack babies and leave scars.

What are YOU on about?

I will probably play it. Was going to wait for trusted people to review it.

Now with the Character Creator reveal. . .I am going to wait for the sale.

Sucks because I am invested in the series. Even read one of the books

I might play it when it hits Game Pass, but I haven't played any of the previous games in the series so I'm not invested. I'll check it out if people really love it.

Am i the only one who thinks the design and art style of this game is, well, horrible? I've liked the last installments very much but having hard time getting used to they direction they took.

And the qunari. Jesus Christ, who thought that was a good look?

Origins is a seminal work of the genre. Didn't play 2. Inquisition was a good but flawed game.

So if I were to just play one, it should be Origins?

Really depends on what you’re going for. Origins is a really, really great game. But anyone who tells you it isn’t showing its age pretty heavily isn’t being honest. I would say give it a shot, but catch it on sale, and don’t feel any shame if you bounce off of it.

I’d love to hear you mansplain to your mother and the mother of your children that “a scar is a scar” when in reference to a mentally ill woman giving themselves a double mastectomy so they can pretend to be a dude. no big deal. “a scar is a scar.”

Again, you're missing the point. If you had read the rest of the comments you'd probably get it, but this is what happens when you jump right in the middle and assume you know everything. The question, posed by someone else, was the ability, or credibility, of getting rid of scar due to an injury vs surgery.

This feels dumb typing.

FTR, i'm against surgery in that fashion, and I'm especially against parents allowing their children to do so at an early age. Kids are in no position to make life altering choices like that when they are that young and parents shouldn't push them towards that based on the whims of an undeveloped mind and psyche.

But none of that was the point of what I was discussing. But thanks for making it that.

Dude you missed the point from the start and started saying things were said that no one said. I feel like I should clarify it for you again but we all know how that goes. I’d just be responding to you for page after page of posts like how it went in the shadows thread.

Indeed

Laaaaaaazy level design. Great characters, story, and gameplay

Instead of 3 acts, it is 3 different stories.

Worth playing, imo. Very good.

true. I feel the same way about it, that I did about Cyberpunk 2077 or AC: Odyssey. Lots of things I like. . .some things that were garbage.

It's free to play with Game Pass because EA Play is included with Game Pass.

I've tried to start a couple of them before but I just couldn't get passed the first few minutes. Need to give one a real shot.

Many posters will put "nB4", followed by the thing they know is true about what they just posted. . .but don't want people to point out.

Back when I used to debate Theism/Atheism on the PoliBoard, I would often get posts like:

Well. . .the Bible has OT passages that are pro-slavery. . .nb4ProgressiveRevelation

Why was there all this angry God stuff in the OT, but Loving God stuff in the NT if God is unchanging. . . nB4BloodofJesus

It is their way of telling you they know they're full of shite. . .but think "nB4" is their Uno Skip Card (or some better analogy, as I am far too tired atm)
