Like I said, it can generate anxiety. But it is pretty cool.

Jeez. I saw a screen shot earlier talking about “not feeling comfortable in your own skin.”.
Just trash.
Just trash.

Embargo has lifted and early verdicts on Dragon Age: The Veilguard are starting to roll in from all over the internet. One of those early verdicts comes from Baldur's Gate 3 publishing director Michael 'Cromwelp' Douse, who reckons that BioWare's latest is well worth the time of RPG fans.
"I’ve been playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard in complete secrecy (behind my backpack at the office in front of a giant window, in the kitchen)," Douse says on Twitter. "From me, you may be wondering 'is this a game compatible with my experience during BG3' so I’ll tackle it from that perspective. The answer is yes. It is to a heavy, 9 season long show what a well-made, character driven, binge-worthy Netflix series is."
Douse describes The Veilguard as a "giga-brain genius" combination of Xenoblade Chronicles and Hogwarts Legacy, and notes that it "feels like the first Dragon Age game that truly knows what it wants to be." For people who "want some character driven romping with a strong combat system in a universe you know, love, or have heard of, it is much better than the average action game, and much less heavy than the gargantuan RPGs that may intimidate at times. In a word, it’s fun!"
So that's positive to see. I might check it out down the road. Was debating what my next game would be, gave some thought to CoD (decided I was too old for that), but since nothing else I really want is coming out until next year, I'll check out some gameplay videos and maybe give this a shot.

Games journalists are loving the game. Content creators are hating it
The only way to really know is just going to be to play it for ourselves. This game was never going to be judged fairly either way.

Not saying he's wrong, but I had to quit following him. He just seems to not like anything lately and everything is super negative.
I'll just have to see for myself, if I ever do.

I bought diablo 4 to because my brother and i used to play diablo all summer and we can play online.
I am enjoying it so far. I like a lot of control over my character and their options and this isn’t it, but it’s still fun.

This guy absolutely ripped the game a new one

KF guys really like it. They acknowledge shortcomings, but all gave it around a 9/10.
So there's no telling

Art style and modern day-isms has this one as a gamepass game or a serious discount for me.
Unless I hear better things from people who are generally objective.

The KF crew typically is, and I generally agree with their opinions. Other than Greg Miller really like Borderlands 3, that is

To me, this says something about the gaming industry though. He's Mr. Bethesda and generally a very upbeat/silver lining kind of guy.
He's recently criticized Starfield (which I love) but his criticisms are the exact same ones I have with Bethesda currently.
It just feels like we've had so many shitty/ideologically tainted games recently that even dudes like Matty can't defend them anymore.

I get that. I've been 50/50 with his opinions in the past, but lately it's been a bit much, and not just with game reviews.

There are a handful of streamers whose reviews mirror my own tastes. I will wait to see if all the bullshite is worth dealing with

Apparently there is an entire mandatory quest line for the Qunari Taash, where you have to help her come out as non-binary to her parents. People are posting clips and screens hots all over twitter.
Not sure how amazing the gameplay would have to be to make up for that bullshite.
Even the modern term "non-binary" is used. They couldn't even cloak it in the culture of the world in which it exists.
I am only SLIGHTLY surprised the villain isn't named, like, Tonald Drump or some shite
