The most expensive was at Kyoto Kitcho in Japan. It was a client dinner, and I paid with the firm card. I had no idea how much the meal was because of all the zeros in the price; it was over 2 million yen. When I got back to the hotel, I did the conversion, and for the 7 of us the total was almost $13,000. So that is over $1800 a head. Since the receipt was mainly in Japanese, I have no idea what my meal cost, but I am guessing at least $1500. Since my knowledge of Japanese cuisine is limited to rudimentary sushi knowledge, I had one of the Kyocera guys basically order for me, and I am guessing he hooked me up with the good stuff. It was a great meal with stellar service, but I had no idea what I was eating most of the time.

Locally, Square Root in New Orleans was right up there.

I’m a complete sucker when it comes to dining out is all I’ll say.

Most expensive meal was at Jade Dragon which is located at the City of Dreams Macau. It's the only restaurant in Greater China to be awarded both three Michelin stars and three Black Pearl diamonds.
There was an old China man who was sitting behind an easel writing in Chinese Calligraphy. He would hand write each guest what they had for dinner.
It was fantastic to say the least and very expensive especially since we were drinking Japanese rare bourbon.

A buddy and I racked up a $600+ bill at Bobby Vann's when I got my first corporate gig and could expense shite like that.

An omakase sushi meal (fixed menu of something like 12-15 small bites...was very filling). Place only seats 12 at a time around a counter right in front of the chefs who were more than happy to discuss what they were doing/serving up. Was something like $375/ea with drink pairings for another $100 or so. Also business expensed.

August in NOLA for our minimoon.
Did the tasting menu with the wine, with a cocktail beforehand.

Probably around $700 on an anniversary at Folks Folly in Memphis. But half of that was wine and cocktails.

Your most expensive meal
Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse in Paris
One of the worst experiences of my life. The food was way too fancy for anyone's liking, and the servers were Parisians with attitude. They pretty much refused to speak English, which seemed fine, cause it was a tasting menu. Long story short, 3 hours later the meal ended, and for four people the bill ran a little over 2000 euros
We ended up writing an email to Chef Alain Ducasse himself, and he was very apologetic and offered a free bottle of champagne next time we go. While I have no doubt the champagne value would make up for the meal, I can't imagine ever doing that again lol

Similar, Kyoto Japan, Kobe beef and scallops. $2200 for 2 of us with drinks, apps, and desserts. No wine. Top 2 or 3 best meals I’ve ever had.

Probably Quince in San Francisco, and it wasn't even the full tasting menu just the half course one with wine pairings
...if not that, then August or Etoile in NO and Michael Mina in Vegas (while good, not worth the price)
