Why isn't Peanut Butter ice cream mainstream?

PB and Banana ice cream would be a far superior product to the bland vanilla, chocolate, and other crap that is readily available. We need more PB.

Peanut butter is fine by itself. Good in Reese's. Sucks in "health food" bars. Terrible in ice cream.

Peanut butter ice cream has potential. It wouldn’t have chunks of peanut butter inside but infused like caramel or toffee. I make a dymatize chocolate protein shake with a scoop of peanut butter, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and the rest with whole milk. It’s amazing and ice cream with that flavor could be awesome.
