I figured as much. But you seem to know an awful lot about it. If it is as bad as you say, why have you been there enough to know about more than one or 2 dishes?

Don't know what this means. I'm sure it is something nice though. So thanks!

Been once...ate the prime rib po-boy. Hated it. Never been back. Your point is invalid. Therefore, using my experience, and the experience of others (word of mouth) I have based a conclusion that this place is not worth the hype.

No one goes there anymore, it's too crowded.

One time at the old Sammy's in St Francisville I got smashed at the bar. Several of us did. Then we sat down to eat and they forgot my hamburger steak I ordered . No biggie, I order another cocktail while they whip me one up. They brought it out raw. By this time everybody else is full and drunk. And possibly ready to go to the Tittie bar. I asked the waitress if they could just take the HB steak off my tab and charge me for the baked tater I was about to inhale. . They did one better by wiping my entire ticket out. Which was triple digits. Pretty nice I thought. Csb

but I do find that all of their fried food tastes exactly the same.. like a "sammy's" taste.. I can't describe it. But you can give me anything fried from there without telling me and I'd know it's from there. They have a specific taste in their grease.

I ate there for the first time in a long long time recently, and the poboy bread tasted sweet, almost donut-like. Think that's what you are tasting?

They have tables out there now

Nice try, but no i can distinguish the difference between people eating al fresco verses people crammed onto benches and standing around because they are so packed with mindless diners that the others will wait for hours for a table...typically because they have crawfish.

Boiling crawfish is the biggest laughable restaurant scam i have ever seen. I always laugh at the places that do the 14.99 for three pounds, potatoes and corn, and people fricking PACK the place. Doesn't matter where. If your business is struggling, boil crawfish during lent. It will put you back in the black.

Why?

Buying 3 lbs with corn and potatoes at a seafood market isn't gonna be that much less and you don't have to clean up your mess

It's hardly a scam

I used to work at a restaurant that did AYCE crawfish

It's ashamed no one else does it around here nowadays

They didnt make good crawfish though, so they didn't do so great with it

Lots of us see the point.

I'm happy to pay $15 for 3 lbs. corn and potatoes when I don't have to cook them, get out dishes, or clean up.

You are judging a place by 1 item on the menu, and that 1 item is a prime rib poboy?

Let me guess... you got the chicken tenders at Ruth's Chris and hated it, and have never been back?

Nice troll
