Bleu Cheese has a particular funk to it that I just don't like. I like a lot of funky cheeses but that bc makes me gag.
Homemade ranch is the way to go. I enjoy eating wings without dipping sauce but a super spicy wing sauce coupled with a good homemade ranch is just an incredible bite and one of my favorite foods. The spices used in ranch typically complement the seasonings used in a good hot wing sauce (garlic, onion, pepper) while the slight dill taste offers just the right amount of zing to counterbalance heat. The creaminess of the ranch/hot sauce mix coats your mouth well, too.
Makes me want some wings for lunch.

I used to be a Ranch person but a decade or so ago I realized that blue cheese is the far superior dipping sauce for buffalo wings. And I'm not a huge blue cheese fan in most other uses.
Although, most times I don't dip the wings and just use the dip for the celery or carrots.
My fiancée abhors bleu cheese, so we always get both when we split an order of wings. She's always willing to be the canary when it comes to tasting to figure out which is which, and somehow always gets it wrong. It's become one of my favorite things about eating wings

Yeah, the blue cheese at Chimes is the bluest of cheeses I've ever had from a dressing. They have the cheese mixed into the dressing but also top the cup with a large pinch of crumbles.

If I'm eating buffalo wings, i'm not dipping them. I love buffalo sauce, and ranch/bleu cheese are too overpowering and take away from the spice.
If i'm eating some buffalo tenders, then yes i'd prefer to dip them in ranch.

If there was a smooth Blue Cheese I'd prefer it. The chunkiness of it makes it harder to eat with wings.

Ranch 100%
I just cannot get into blue cheese in any context.

I won't go as far as to say that I've switched my allegiance, because I still love Ranch, I do love me some Blue Cheese now.

only thing I put on my wings is my lips. I like to wash them down with a frosty mug of beer. If ya wings are so crappy ya gotta dredge them in sauce they aint worth eatin.

Blue cheese with buffalo wings. Ranch with garlic parmesean wings. I usually order half and half and get one of each.
