I’ve eaten at Rouj, La Madeleine, Pluckers & Elsie’s.

All of them weren’t packed at all. Service was good since there were hardly any other tables. I felt like the food at Rouj & Elsie’s took longer than it should but it’s understandable, I’m sure they’ve had a hard time getting people to come back.

I’m just not risking it. I’m sorry. I visit my elderly parents regularly. I’m not risking slurping a bowl of my favorite pho in town a few feet away from some dude that is possibly a carrier. There are still many people out there that are a symptomatic.

We decided to close my restaurant. We just don’t see is at full capacity anytime soon. I also have no interest in dining out because studies have shown that eating next to someone with covid is extremely unsafe. I have many doctors in my family that I have spoken with. Many high up in the chain of infectious diseases and they have stated that millions would have died had many of us Americans had not done what we did to to socially distance when we did. The most important when we are stuffing our faces and sucking the head of the finest crawfish in the world is to be quite a bit away from another covid positive in the room. I’ve never coughed when sucking a spicy head ??.

You’re not gonna get corona from passing someone at Walmart. If you sit in the same room as someone and tackle 5 lbs of crawfish. Yes, Probably due to the airborne particles in that hour or so there is a good chance spread might continue.

I’m a life long chef/owner and decided to close my restaurant. Margins were thin and we decided to hang it up.

I might see things different than you but flame away. 25% capacity might not spread covid as much as people sitting elbow to elbow. But there was just no money to be made at my spot. I wish the restaurants that have the stayed the course to press on but those who eventually decide to close their doors it probably saving lives.

If there is no resurgence of covid in the fall it will surprise me. GodSpeed Diners Abound!

I’m fine with doing the lower end places and the bar and grills like I’ve done for the past two weeks.

I’m not ready to spend any real money at any restaurants yet. It will happen soon enough, but I don’t want to deal with the crap.

Pamplona (Lafayette) last Friday for dinner, Market Eatz for lunch that same day.

Limited menu at Pamplona (no tapas), but was a good meal regardless.

Service was great at both

Have done a ton of takeout/delivery in NOLA, but I just cant bring myself to go dine-in somewhere yet. It's equally as important to go for the experience and what I've seen so far is just down right depressing at a full capacity of 25%.

See here, Exhibit A of Galatoire's: LINK (this hurts to look at)

Just because you go to a restaurant you don't just stop social distancing.....all the restaurants are putting the space between the tables that I've been to.

I agree....I think it should have been 50% in phase 1 at least....BUT they have to do what the government tells them I guess.

That makes me sad. I am used to Galatoires being noisy because of all the people.
