DI's near Basile
Steamboat in Washington
Or just about any gas station/grocery store that does home cooked daily plate lunches in the 337 area code.

What is particularly cajun about DI's? The menu has fried seafood, steaks and burgers.

Suires Grocery in Kaplan.

Cajun Critters in Houma
Spahr's and Politz in Thibodaux
Boudeau and Thibodeau's is overrated tourist food from my experience.
Off the Hook in Thibodaux and Houma is a "fast food" place but they have really good gumbo, catfish, and shrimp.
Bayou Delight in Houma

Little Big Cup in Arnaudville.
Cajun Station in Eunice.
Mr. T’s in Elton.
The Superette in Eunice.
Cafe Josephine in Sunset is somewhat Cajun.
Throw a stick in any direction in Lafayette.

Oh boy, I-10 through Acadia, Lafayette and St. Martin Parishes for lunchtime is a target rich environment.
Close your eyes, throw a rock, and stop at the first non-fast food place you hit.

They have way more than that. Plus they have live bands, Tee Mamou/Iota courir de Mardi Gras, etc

I didn't see it on the menus that were pictured. Thanks.

I'm surprised TulaneLSU has not comprised a top ten list, but mother certainly would not approve him venturing so far from the Crescent City.
When I think Cajun food it would be the ubiquitous rice n gravy plates lunch often found in Cajun towns- meatballs fricassee, beef tips, pork n sausage gravy, fish courtboullion, chicken stew and BBQ pork steaks n chicken plate lunches on Sunday plus boudin.
Check out boudinlink.com on Facebook for the small towns. The Bible to boudin-boudinlink.com seems disabled, but it had comprehensive guide for boudin.
Plate lunches Lafayette:
T-coons, Dwight's, Johnson's Boucaniere
Abbeville:
Kaplan
Crowley-Rice Palace
Rayne
Eunice-Ruby's, smothered beef tongue; Mel's
Lawtell-Lavergne's
Breaux Bridge

Is that place Bourree on Carrollton any good? Never been there. Just asking.
Not really. Even though I love its parent restaurant, Boucherie.
(Which, despite the name, isn't Cajun. But it is fantastic.)
