You just sticking the pvc in the ground?
Where’d you get the net?
Yes, we hammer the PVC in the ground with a rubber mallet, usually after a rain so it goes in easier.
We bought the net from Pond & Garden Depot. It's held up really well; now in its 5th year. Highly recommend it. Lots of different sizes.

We had problems with birds in year one, but not squirrels.
We started with a raised bed type structure with concrete wall blocks and 2x6s. After the birds took half of the first year’s blueberries, I built a PVC grid for year two. Covered it with 1/2” net and some mockingbirds still managed to get in.
Year 3 I bought a larger net with a smaller 1/4” opening which has worked great for the last several years.
Current set up. We put up the net in late April or early May and take it down and store it once the blueberries are done in June.

We’ve got 10 blueberry bushes and we’ve been picking hundreds every 2-3 days. Lots more ripening daily.

I planted this blue Java banana plant spring 2025 and I am hoping to have fruit later this year.
The main stalk is now about 7 feet tall. Two pups are 4-5 and two more are about 2 feet tall.
How many pups, if any, should I retain if my goal is to get a few bananas?
Thanks

Yeah, I’m old…
I appreciate the information!
What’s a safe solution for getting rid of these weeds at the base of my clementine orange tree? Thanks

The halfback pass for TD to start the Auburn game in 1969 is a vivid memory for me.
Great pass and execution.

Hope Goodry stays good.
My dwarf lemon is about a foot high and about 3 feet across. Should I do anything to get more vertical growth?
Stake them to grow up, or maybe prune the ends?

The most accurate description of what he did during LSU Moo St game as 1B coach:
quote:
Nick Mingione is a huge bitch. When he was coaching 1st base at Mississippi State he fricked with LSU's relay by yelling during the play.
quote: Hanover was going to throw home when all of a sudden he heard a voice yelling '2-2-2-2,'"
Mainieri said. "It was their first base coach yelling that. There's no rule against it in the rule book, but there's an unwritten rules in the game of baseball. Your not supposed to do things like that. That's a bush league move and I let him know that."
