For me the GOAT is strawberry shortcake made with fresh strawberries, homemade shortbread and real whipped cream.

Banana pudding would be a close second but for me nothing else comes close to these two.

My mother makes what she calls a "poke cake". It's basically just a white cake, then she poke holes in it and pours a fudge-like chocolate icing/glaze over the top, and it drips down into the cake.

If making it at home, then it's my homemade peach cobbler with a bit of vanilla ice cream.

If bakery or store bought, it's a close race between Randazzo's large chocolate eclairs and a well made doberge' cake.

At a restaurant, it’s crème brûlée.

But I love ice cream and would just as rather go home after a nice dinner out and eat some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

By my way of thinking, Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla is not homemade, it's made in their plant.

To me, homemade vanilla ice cream is churned at home with fresh ingredients, ice, salt and elbow grease-----unless you have one of those new-fangled electric ice cream makers.
