The first batch of Parish's Farmhouse IPA.

I opened a bottle at a homebrew competition in Houston and it was such an over carbonated mess that half of the 750ml gushed out of the bottle and onto the table.

My father, who enjoys Canebrake, stopped buying it for a while because he had purchased a couple 6-packs where the beer was just as you described.

I ordered a Canebrake around that time at Route 92, and it was the same thing. Tried drinking it but all the carbonation just made it uncomfortable.

That was around two Christmas's ago. Parish fixed the problem since then.

NOLA crab boil at the brewery.

My dad ordered it on a dare and lost the bet.

I had a Farmhouse IPA blow up in my truck during the summer. Guess it got too hot...

Good times.

back to drain pours, this was a drain pour for me as well

I guess I just do not like spiced beers

Habanero Sculpin was definitely not my jam. Free sample at a place, but there's no way I could have finished a whole one.

It was a Leffe' beer, but I cant recall the style of beer it was. I believe a nectar beer. I usually like those and I honestly cant remember every pouring out another beer in my life, but that one was wayyyy too sweet.

Life is too short to drink bad beer. Got plenty more good ones in the fridge.

Tin Roof Parade Ground - this year's version has some weird fruit esters and the coffee is barely there. I have too much good beer in my fridge, so I dumped it after a few sips.

So you are going to buy a good ipa just to drain pour it?

Why would I force myself to drink something I don't like?

I'll dump a beer I normally enjoy if it's not right, like an IPA with too much age on it.
