A good plate lunch with southern/Cajun options, something like T-Coon's in Laffy. Everything else seems to be covered.

Baton Rouge needs a fast casual authentic Taqueria. Somewhere that has a drive thru that serves delicious fresh tacos. Somewhere you can go pick up a quick authentic Mexican meal. If there is one there needs to be more

A Torchy's or Taca Cabana would be amazing, and would rake in money.

A new Omakase place is opening soon called Nagomi in the Bywater by Chef Kaz...I’m hoping to make it very shortly after they open

Unfortunately this is delayed due to a variety of issues with the city. I think they will start really soon though.

Taca Cabana

Taco Cabana is more like a damn Taco Bell to me. It’s good but not really what I have in mind when I think authentic Taqueria

If you ever get a chance go watch Taco Chronicles on Netflix. Great show and exactly what we need in BR or surrounding areas

Live in Lafayette. Would love a good Chinese restaurant (not the ones with the same order-off-the-wall menu) and a place with good BBQ. A Pluckers would also be welcome

Have you tried Blanchard's? They have very good brisket, IMO.

You’re right, their brisket is very good. Not really a fan of their sauces though haha

Agreed, I don't like them. Luckily the brisket stands on it's own.

Agree with your BBQ in BR take...does anyone in BR even attempt burnt ends?

Had some BBQ in friggin' Colorado on vacation this year that was out of this world.

Are there any Greek/Med/Lebanese places in the river ridge/harahan area? I’ve searched around but no luck besides Zoe’s which doesn’t really count. Used to live 2 mins from Albasha from BR and now I’m missing shawarma.

No. Closest is probably Lebanon Café on Carrollton.
