In ITP Atlanta, it used to be BBQ. That's changed a lot in 10 years or so.

Now I'd probably go with old fashioned Italian-American (NYC Italian). Tex-Mex is probably lacking other than Ford Fry but there is more in the burbs. Seafood will always be lacking a bit but I'm not sure what we can really do about it.

We use to eat at Pamplona's often when we first moved here...just got burned out.

The Smoke Show with Rabideaux's sausage at Central Pizza is my favorite pizza. Hopeful to hit up Tula Tacos soon.

Indian food is really bad in BR. i wish we had some good authentic spots

The best most consistent restaurant in Baton Rouge is Bay Leaf, so I don't know what you are talking about.

I feel like BR has made some big strides with pizza, no? Never been to Lit or Rocca but heard good things. And then there's plenty of places that do a decent pizza. I feel like there are definitely much greater needs in BR outside of pizza.

You mention that BR has made "big" strides and then mention Lit.

I also mention that I hadn't tried it but had heard good things. Sorry if your pizza options suck.

There are a lot of local pizza places now. Lit is owned by the Izzos folks and it's good for what it is. It's a decent lunch spot. We are big fans of Bistro Italia.

IN L.A. it's genuine BBQ. There are only a few legit places and a couple you can't really go to and feel safe.

New Orleans

Spent 5 days in Sicily, 3 in Cefalu. I devoured the seafood. Clams, octopus, squid and other Mediterranean
seafood. Probably wouldn't make it in N.O.

haven't been in Knoxville long enough to really know, but I haven't seen much (if any) Greek/Lebanese.

There isn't a ton of Greek options but Greekfest is coming in October.

In Maryville TN we are really lacking a good Indian restaurant. Also, we have a ton of pizza places but they are all terrible.
