I agree with those saying burgers
I find that the bun ratio is off a lot of time. A lot of places overdo it with too many toppings and too much bun.

Low and slow to render all the fat out is the appropriate way to do it in my opinion.
Correct. No one at my hunting camp has the patience to do it right. The problem is that my bacon isn't done until almost lunch time.

It admittedly does take awhile.
I find throwing it in an non-preheated oven is a good compromise.

Bacon
Started cooking it in the oven and will never look back.
Not a food, but coffee. I'm not asking for something to either make my hair stand up or some $20/lb coffee. Just use enough grounds to make it taste like something more than ditchwater.

Bacon cooked in the oven is so exponentially better, it's amazing everyone doesn't know this method.
The one thing that gets fricked up the most by both home cooks and restaurants is hamburgers. Overowrking the raw meat, overcooking them, using crappy buns, under or over seasoning them. The list goes on.

I’ll say slaw even though the slaw game has picked up over the last decade with more trendier places, taco shops and whatnot putting out good stuff. But still most mom and pop places, local bbq joints and the like are continuing to slop out Aunt Mildred’s soggy arse blob of shredded cabbage catastrophe.

While i agree with the hamburgers, potato salad and slaw etc, i gotta go with hashbrowns.
People will frick hashbrowns up faster than anything.

Grilled cheese sandwich. Most places give you a warm melted cheese sandwich.

BLT. For sandwich with three ingredients, most the time it is not what it should be. I find places don't give it the attention it needs. Most the time its sloppily put together.

I concur.... burgers, fries.... but mostly steak, you almost have to say rare just to get medium rare. I’ve just about given up ordering steak at a restaurant unless it’s high end specialty. Also restaurant boiled crawfish

Any sandwich I order without tomatoes.

Living in Texas, for me it's chicken fried steak. It's amazing how variant they get. Gravy as well.
I'll add to that you'll almost never get the same result eating at people's homes. They're all over the map. Men generally do a much better job than women as well.

Rice. Just plain rice.
Some of us are blessed with the rice cooking gene. I feel bad for those that aren't
My ex-wife would boil the crap out of rice then pour it into a colander to drain the excess water. I left her not long after

French Fries at Sonic
I had no idea Sonic sold anything other than Tater Tots, which to me are always excellent.

MD, to me those tots are sadly undercooked, pale specimens of what a toasty tot should resemble. A few seconds longer in the fryer could remedy that!
