Give Chuan Nan chili crisp a try. It’s really tasty, has a nice kick, and peanuts.

It wasn’t released as a double album but it’s a double disc CD.

First the first and then the second. It’s out of order otherwise.

Pilot---Magic

Great choices. It’s funny, I always think of those two together myself. I was recently thinking about Magic because of the Ozempic ad and was trying to remember its ‘partner’ Sky High.
Way too many to name. Another favorite:

Morton had gone from nice flakes to crushed dust and small grains.
That’s probably because you were at the end of the box. Morton kosher salt has actually moved to coarser grains.

As for the live show…12/31/95
I’d second this. I think it’s their best show. If you don’t dig that Reba then Phish probably isn’t going to do it for you.
Also, I was there. Might be the best show I’ve ever seen.

1973 was pretty insane…
That would be my pick. Missing from your list is Wake of the Flood by the Grateful Dead, the first album they released on their own label. Traffic released the live On the Road in ‘73. Also, Miles Davis released two double live albums that year, the first from New York and the second from San Francisco. The latter, Black Beauty: Miles Davis at Fillmore West is probably better known but In Concert: Live at Philharmonic Hall might be the better performance.

I also love a good cold red delicious apple, which is considered one of the lesser apples by most.
I don’t know about that. Last I heard they’re still producing more red delicious apples every year than any other variety. Maybe the people who say they don’t like them have never had a really good one. I like all kinds of apples but a good red delicious that’s super sweet with juice that runs down your arm is tough to beat. They also go better with peanut better than any other variety, imo. And that dark red peel is packed with nutrients.
Maybe it’s a southern thing.

Never in my life have I seen anyone put Pink Floyd in the same category as party bands.
You don’t think of Floyd as a “party band?” Pink Floyd was basically the UK version of the Dead. They were the premiere psychedelic band in London. Both bands were at the center of their respective acid scenes.
And I gotta disagree about the lyrics. It’s true that Roger Waters wrote some amazing lyrics. But they were revolutionary in their music apart from the lyrics and performed a lot of instrumental material. Also, they were an improvisational band like the Dead early on. They jammed out. You wouldn’t even have to understand English to dig their music.
