Generic chain restaurant with decent enough food but nothing to write home about. A place I frequent once every 2-4 years

The po boy was better
And they got rid of the pulled pork sandwich with the jalapeño slaw, was the best thing on the menu imo

Much better in the early days at original location. Good atmosphere. Used to have the coach's radio show there.

Haven't been to one in many years.

What did Ruffin have to do with Walk On's?

Thought it was Brandon Landry and Jack Warner that were original owners

I have never had a bad meal there. I have never had an outstanding meal there either. It's a solid spot for lunch or dinner. Not great, not awful, not special. But if you want to have a beer and watch sports while eating decent fare, its fine.
Trouble is many people expect five-star meals for two-star prices, while they themselves are one-star individuals. They dress and act accordingly then shite on places like Walkons. Its comical.

They really need to get their menu and quality back up or they will continue to close down locations. That business concept shouldn’t have any issue expanding as long as they course correct.

The seafood dishes are edible but not high quality. Everything else seems good.

While the chain is still operating and expanding in some markets, several Walk-On’s locations have closed over the years. Recent examples include: * Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux Waco — closed in May 2025. * Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux Opelika — closed in February 2025, reportedly due to low sales. * Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux Wilmington — closed in 2024. * Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux Myrtle Beach — closed in 2024. * The Las Vegas Strip location at Harrah’s also permanently closed in late 2025.

It’s been a good while. They serve the best buffalo chicken wrap I’ve had in a restaurant.

Not as good as a Red Robin. Not as bad as an Applebee's.

Overrated bar food with a decent bar. Applebee's says hello!
