I haven’t been to one in a long time, but I hear a lot of them have closed down. They are building one in Carencro (I live in Lafayette), so I figure they’re still trying to expand. Do you find them too expensive? Why do you think they have closed so many locations?

Have one closeby and it is a solid chain that keeps Purple Haze on tap.

Decent food IMO, but definitely not worth what they're charging. They took a cue from Cane's and started charging more than everyone else before the past few years of rising prices.

They kind of fall into a category with a place like Fat Pat's or Chimes to me in that it's inoffensive but not particularly good and peaked several years ago.

Pretty solid spot most of the time. I find it astounding that they won't serve remoulade sauce with the gator bites though.

I'd rather have them than these players getting millions.

I don't mind it but I don't seek it out if that makes sense.

I have been to the one in Covington and Downtown NOLA. It has been good every time.

My son lives in Alabama and he went to one by his house in Trusville and he did not like it.

It's generic food with Tony's added for Cajun flair...
They do have a crap ton of TVs and will put anything on that isn't UFC. Very good beer selection and the waitresses are pretty attentive.
Good place to go sit and watch a game, nothing special.

I live by the one in Towne Center in BR. We used to go occasionally. Went about five years ago and made a decision to never go back.

Overpriced garbage. They went downhill once they expanded nationally.

It's bar food. If I want a burger/sandwich and a beer, it's fine. If I'm looking for the best Louisiana food main dishes or a po boy, I'll go somewhere else. It's one of the few places my kids can generally agree on, so we go more than I would probably like. It's generally consistent

As to the quality of the individual locations, that's location specific. The original near campus is fine. The location in Towne Center (BR) is awful.

It's one of those places that works well in Louisiana because of name recognition and its, generally speaking, association with LSU. Outside of LA it's just another "sports bar/restaurant"

It used to be better but the one in town center sucks. It’s the staff. Servers think they deserve a 50% for serving you an overpriced burger and beer.

This.

The original Walk-On's will put on just about any game for you.
