I saw Falling Rock advertises itself as America's best tap room. I'm not talking brewery, but independent tap house with draft and can/bottles.

Say why, as well. It could be selection, price, atmosphere, food, or a combination of all of the above. It's okay to list more than one.

I have several that stand out:

Belmont Station
Loyal Legion
ABV Pub

Loyal Legion might be number one if they had a selection of cans and bottles. They don't, but they serve whiskey, so there's that...

Hopefully, some of these will be in the midwest near where Indianapolis...

Top 5 I've been to in no particular order:

Falling Rock - Denver
Blind Tiger - NYC
Toronado - San Francisco
J Clyde - Birmingham
Avenue Pub - NOLA

Haven’t done your Birm suggestion, but the other 4 are towards my top.

I almost hate to admit it because it's pretty touristy, but Delirium in Brussels was awesome.

Blind Tiger is great.
Avenue Pub is in the running.

Petrol Station in Houston was for a good while my #1 pick, but I haven't been in years.

Naja's Place in Redondo Beach, CA

Partly because of atmosphere. It's right on the Redondo Pier and there is usually solid live music.

You'd cry if you walked in today. It's a disaster

Yea when Ben was actually running the place and not concentrating on Brash it was a top-notch beer bar. It's a shadow of it's former self and really not worth a detour to go there.
Ben has turned into a "Hey, it's Ben-howdy stranger" when he bothers to show up at either Brash or Petrol.

All of these have great atmosphere and selection

Pony Bar-NYC-
Bateau de Nuit- Quebec City (Heavy Metal Craft Beer Bar)
Proeflokaal Arendsnest- Amsterdam-sit at a table on the canal and drink from a menu with 50 dutch beers none of which you have ever heard of.
Gollem- Centrum location-Amsterdam
Cafe Spuyt- Amsterdam, brown cafe with Cantillion and Westvletern and Beersel and Tilquin, etc.
Wildeman- Amsterdam- Probably the best selection in amsterdam. And they served my cantillion in a lambic basket. Classy AF!
Toronado- SF
Strangeways- Dallas, local brother/sister owners-Big Smiths fans hence the bar name, big collection of wierd vinyl figurines. Having their annual sour week this week when all 40 taps are sours. Old school chalkboard menu

Whip In- Austin used to be great. Its still good but not what it used to be.

I'm sure I have left off a bunch. Loyal Legion in Portland is great but I was too distracted looking into Jax's blue eyes.

This was my neighborhood bar. They always had great stuff and you could always get real estate. It’s not a destination by any means but a great bar nonetheless.

Yeah I stopped in months ago and noticed it was not near as good as it once was. Selection was very lacking. I mentioned to my brother that it just seemed different.

Due to gross mismanagement, this has closed down. It takes a new level of incompetence to take the beat beer bar in Bham and ruin it.

I hate how dim it is in there. Not a fan of that otherwise the place is great.

It's definitely old school - dark wood, exposed brick, and dark leather sear covers.

I think I look better in the dim light.

I will let you know when I'm visiting Portland. We can go hoist a few at some of these places.
