Dear Friends,

After our dearest of friends started the topic this evening on our favorite fast food meals, my stomach rumbled because I had not eaten anything since last night's Domino's feast.

I went online to see if there were any coupon deals on the Popeyes website, and sure enough, there was. For 8.99, I purchased a five piece meal with two sides and two biscuits. I had never ordered online, and it was a seamless process.

I had Mother bring me to our friendly neighborhood Popeyes and I went in to retrieve the order. The respectful porter at the register told me they had no evidence of the order. He summoned the manager who confirmed there was no such order in their system. I then showed them my cell phone receipt, and all was well. To make up for corporate's error, she gave me four spicy breasts, when I believe normally, this meal would only include one. The other four pieces would be a thigh, a drumstick, and two wings. Chicken wings, by the way, are the biggest food hoax in history. That people order these pieces of bone and fat as a meal is evidence of our decline.

I am now basking in the glory of this delicious meal. For all those who say Popeyes has bad service, I say it is likely the corporate company that is setting them up for failure. How could they not have received my order even my credit card was charged? These problems are not with the friendly staff -- they are with the corporate system, which is broken.

Sides of Popeyes red beans and mashed potatoes remind us that we should never settle for French fried potatoes.

These biscuits are such a letdown, every time. I wish Popeyes would go back to the original recipe and make biscuits in-house like they did when Mr. Al ran the company.

The spicy breasts are anything but a letdown. They are the best fast food entree around, and I have yet to find better fried chicken anywhere.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Friend,

I’m glad I could give you some inspiration to get such a wonderful looking meal. The lord has blessed your Labor Day meal with more than you could imagine. I felt lazy tonight after a long weekend of cooking so the wife and I went to our friendly neighborhood Chili’s. I ordered the 3 for $10 deal which included a Dr Pepper, chips and salsa, chicken crispers, fries, and corn on the cob. My appetite was not strong enough to take down this feast.

Best,

Friend,

I love breasts too. Mother knows this already. It looks like they need to clean their grease. That chicken is a little dark.

Sincereliest,

Labor Day and Monday. You’re supposed to cook out and have red beans, so I did. Also had corn and slaw. :)

Crunchy tacos. Topped with a 3-cheese blend, sour cream, shredded lettuce, pickled jalapenos, and hot taco sauce.

Vodka waters.

Pulled the meat off the rib bones from yesterday and crisped them up on the cast iron and added a spatchcocked chicken. Leftover baked beans and slaw.

And a little chocolate java mousse for dessert.

I took out a ribeye, chicken and sausage to grill tonight but my wife (no pics) had other plans for resprucing up our flower beds so I’m just getting finished. Probably leftover Walk-On’s Buffalo Chicken wrap later not sure.

You are goofy and starting to grow on me, I laughed.

I've tried many things and I can't get skin like Popeye's. Absolutely exquisite.

Late breakfast/lunch so I consumed other senseless calories in lieu of a proper dinner.
