After hearing about Marry Me Chicken and other recipes. I looked up different recipes and picked one I could easily scale for two serving. Whoever named this must have a low threshold for bride or husband cooking prowess. It was good, but nothing extraordinary.

Marry Me Chicken and Rotini pasta
Sweet & Sour Eggplant

Pinot Grigio

Those are normal winter closings. The Rim Road closes for winter and only the southern Main entrance is open. That closes when storms hit until the road can be plowed.

OP: How much time do you have? Redwood is spread out along the coast. There are a variety of trails, several that go along the coast. You can see most of Crater Lake in a day. Just depends on how much hiking you want to do. As someone mentioned, Bend is well worth a visit too.

Pizza - Detroit style

- Pepperoni & onion, red sauce
- Bacon, spinach, red onion, mushroom, chopped grape tomato

You can't find brick cheese in BR and I read about Mozzarella blends to mimic and tried a mix of Mozz and Havarti. It was okay. I forgot about the blend with Danish Butter cheese (Butterkäse) or Muenster, those might be the next ones to try.

They never had either...for ten or fifteen years the fish of the day has been black drum.

Edit: My favs are the Fish en Papillote, Pontchartrain, Oysters Lagniappe and the perennial special Cocodrie. But as mentioned, everything is good. As an aside, we went a couple weeks ago and noticed that somethings were slightly different. I guess the new owners are making tweaks.

re: New England / Foliage - Fall

We been a couple times and as mentioned it depends on the weather and conditions. Only once have we hit peak conditions.

That year (1997) we drove from Boston up to Bar Harbour (Acacia NP) and then from there down thru New Hampshire & Vermont. The whole drive was spectacular as far as color. We stopped in St. Johnsbury, VT to find a place to stay and everything was full. We went to the visitor center, and they told us everything within a three-hour drive was booked solid. But this happened often in peak foliage season and there were people in town that opened their houses to visitors. The couple in front of us heard this and walked out; we said we would give it a shot. Us and another couple ended up staying with a couple in ST. Johnsbury. He was a State Farm agent who had actually been to BR to help with hurricane Andrew claims.
We tried to stop there during the initial ICE activity and whatever we were interested in ordering wasn't available because the girl who made them hadn't been showing up. Have to give it another shot sometime.

It was good comfort food. In addition to the spice packet, it had a little brown sugar and whole grain mustard in the broth. The bread just crusty rolls I had made. I haven't tried making soda bread yet.

Eggplant Lasagna
Broccoli
Garlic bread

I used to have as a kid growing up in southwest PA. I even made it once for my wife. Don't think she was impressed. We used to eat it for breakfast, topped with maple syrup.
