Yeah, if you look back, you'll see that a lot of the threads were whacked. You have to go back to the 4th to find a thread.

I was there too, it was 1978. Three months before we had Mahogany Rush w/Frank Marino opening for Styx at the Assembly Center.
Would you expect anything less from a professional conman?
I started using OneNote, just a simple list of Title - Author. My wife has a large library of hardback books that I read along with Kindle download from the library. Then discovered that Goodreads also tracked activity from my Kindle. I've been using both methods for about 5 years

re: Champagne - how long at room temp?

Vintage champagne (does it have a vintage year on the label) can be aged for years, but it needs to be stored correctly. Like mentioned, open and see.

Just finished. Story was good, but it could have been finished in half the pages used.

re: Bay scallops

Sea scallops are seared. Not too difficult. Just need them dry, a hot skillet and clarified butter. A minute or two on each side or sear them hard on one side and serve. Bay are usually used in pasta or saucy dishes and they do cook quick. Usually, I put them in when I take the skillet off the heat and use residual heat to warm through.

I used to really like the Crab Ravioli with Gorgonzola cream sauce and lump crabmeat. And my wife said they made the best Veal Marsala. The chef died of a heart attack, if I remember

VMI

I lived in Lynchburg until the beginning of the 7th grade. The first soccer game I ever saw was at VMI. A friend's brother played either for VMI or VPI (VA Tech now), I think it was VMI, but I'm not sure.

We often visited Appomattox, Natural Bridge and Peaks of Otter
