Nutria Tacos. You can have all of mine.
Pig Brains. Tasty, like pork-flavored butter.
Grilled Octopus. Great.
Uni (Sea Urchin). Hard pass on seconds.

Cricket Tacos - a novelty and wouldn’t order again although not terrible.

Sea urchin sushi - terrible. Tasted like used mop water.

Eel liver and chicken knees. Not the worst things I've ever eaten.

Not very weird...bear stew.

Sweetbreads and things like that I don't consider weird.

I've had chicken feet. All cartilage.

Jelly fish surprised me how crunchy it was. That was a weird one.

Escargot is still weird to me. Like, who had the idea to eat snails, then turn them into a refined dish? They're okay, but not something I'd want to eat often.

I picked up about gallon of Beganos (oyster drill snails) off the power poles by the Leeville bridge. We boiled them like crawfish, they really good. Just dont mess up and ear the "Tabasco sack" on them.

Pink Taco. It's an acquired taste. But you know the saying if it smells like trout get the F out.

In Southeast Asia.

I got a raw salted chicken sushi.

Honest assessment... Tasted fine and I had to fight my gag reflex.

While there, a Ukrainian guy was buying local fish from outside singapore, packing them in salt for a few weeks in tropical heat, and then carried them around for snacks. I agreed to try it. Motherfricker gave me the head. I almost puked.

I tried just the flesh later that day with an anejo tequila and lime juice spritzer.

Was amazing tastewise. Texture almost got me.

Durian. It smelled like beating a rotten pineapple with the rotten gut bucket of a deer. Honestly tasted like a creamy spoiled caramel. Would eat it again.
