I used to give US all of my beer money. I loved the architect series and a lot of their special release IPAs. I even bought from the weekly during COVID shutdown bc they were being so experimental.
About a few months after that, I noticed a major dip in the quality of their flagships and other releases. Now I all but refuse to buy any of their beer.

Cucumber Lime Gose is still pretty delicious.
I did not like the Satsuma Snoball IPA. The only one of those I really enjoy is the Nectar Cream one.
Can't tell you the last time I had a Holy Roller.
Even the quality of the logo has gone downhill.

The Houston location has a really good head brewer that used to be the head brewer at the whole foods on post oak.
I'm not sure what they are doing in NOLA, but i too, have noticed a drop off in their beer.

Definitely have noticed a drop off in quality at US NOLA. Was hoping it was just me, but after reading this thread, it seems as though many others have noticed.

I don't drink nearly as many IPAs recently (trying to reduce carbs) but I was at a bar over the weekend and they had Holy Roller on tap, so I ordered a glass.
Bartender was like, oh, we have that? Apparently it was her second day, but I was the first person in two days to order it. I pointed to the tap handle and she's like oh ok.
Anyways, it tasted off to me... like a weaker version of normal. I thought maybe it was jut a problem with an old keg or something in the line... but now I'm wondering if it was a production issue.
I was planning on trying their King Cake Sour this weekend now I'm not so sure.

Had the Schwegmann Bock yesterday. I thought it was very good. Not too many bock bears around yet, though maybe that will change as Mardi Gras and spring approach.

The K&B beer was a fruited IPA with pomegranate and purple in color when it was first released. Now it's a damn cream ale. WTF?

Recently picked up the Finial IPA, which I used to love and it was super meh.
Bought the king cake sour too but haven't tried it. Paid $20 at the brewery but just saw it at Rouses for $15. kinda shitty.

A few years back, i went with my wife to Houston on her work trip. While she was at conferences, i was beer store/brewery hopping. Went to that whole foods and they had a beer, Hop Explorer 12. It was the best NEIPA i've ever had, outside of one of the earlier iterations of ghost when they were trying to "work things out".

I’ve always preferred Jucifer to Holy Roller, but now there’s a lot of other comparisons as well that I prefer. It just doesn’t taste fresh to me anymore, and I’m meticulous about packaging dates. If it’s not fresh I don’t buy
I still like Snowball a lot but it has much more competition now
And OP’s comment on stouts is correct, but that’s an issue everywhere. People want sweet stouts now just like they want juice powered IPAs

I quit buying Urban South at the brewery after their big 3rd Anniversary release. I spent a $h!t ton of money on special release IPAs and maybe 2 were even a 6/10 when they were charging high teens for 4-packs.
I think a lot of breweries get carried away with special releases that you'll A) never see again or B) only pop up every few years and end up neglecting their core and seasonal lineups.
