Not a chance. He doesn’t align politically with the governor.

Preemergent + Rye Seed

Posted by tigerbater on 10/17/25 at 10:12 am
I'm looking to seed my Tiftuf Bermuda with Rye for the "winter" but would also like to apply granular preeemergent (dimension) in the next week or so. Has anyone done this combo with much success?
Most have average reviews at best. Avoid Nathan's Appliance Repair.

Really enjoy the fig old fashioned from Bouligny Tavern. La Petite Grocery has a great one as well.
Yes, I use the built in grinder. Note that for my BBE, I used a standalone (Baratza Encore ESP) grinder as I wasn't overly impressed with the integrated grinder.
I switched from the Breville Barista Express to a Delonghi Dynamica Plus for this reason (too much time) and have been very happy. I had it down to a science with my BBE (weighing & timing shots) but it became too time consuming with kids and the morning routine. I have been overly impressed with the Delonghi as it pull shots at the press of a button that are very close to the quality & consistency of the BBE, which took considerably more effort.

I caught mine on sale last year for around $1300.

Really good spot that somehow stays off the radar. As others have said, you can't go wrong.
Rosedale is right by City Park.

You're also close to Blue Oak.

Cafe Navarre is also another decent option.

In hindsight, I think I was cutting my zoysia much too high (~3"). That was probably part of my problem. I always ended up with a lot of "dead" blades that had to be raked out.
I replaced St Augustine sod that was disease-ridden with Empire Zoysia a few years ago and it looked great for the first year. During the summer of 2023 (exceptional drought), I watered it almost daily and it did well. Around September of 2023, it took a "turn for the worse" and started to look very similar to this. I ultimately replaced it with artificial turf (reasonable cost-wise as it was only ~500 sq ft) and never looked back  Part of it was out of spite of wasting hundreds of dollars in water to keep it alive for it to ultimately do what it wanted to do in the end.

I've since then sold that home and put down TifTuf Bermuda at the new. So far, so good.
No "rye" in mine - at least that I can see. Not sure where it's sourced from but I got the sod from Jefferson Feed.
Which specific formulation of Feature are you using? I just put down TifTuf 2 weeks ago, so I am not far behind you.

I do have an entire bag of the Lesco 30-0-10 that Lowe's had on clearance recently. Need to evaluate if that is acceptable to use on the new sod.
Agree with the others that it's likely not a scaling issue. It's more likely a result of grind inconsistency or improper distribution in the basket. Crema Products has some good tools that can help with this.
Maydon was delicious and quite unique.

Also have enjoyed Lapis (Afghani).
Any recommendations on places to buy fertilizers in the Nola southshore area? I typically buy mine from Jefferson Feed or one of the other garden centers but I can't find much other than the Hi-Yield 15-5-10:

I've had no problem getting gratin in an enameled dutch oven. Turn your heat up.
