UPDATE
Stopped at Gnarly on my way home from work yesterday... I don't know what hemp is supposed to taste like but this beer is hazy, juicy and dank, and oh so crushable! Very smooth but finishes a lil bitter. I guess that's the herb.

No way they're putting CBD in it, huh? Much less THC.

Why not?
Cannabis and Hops are actually part of the same family of flower.

Guessing that just means a dankness to the hop profile. I find Idaho 7 hops to have a touch of dankness/earthiness to it.

Those breweries are based in Colorado and California. No way Louisiana is allowing any breweries here to put hemp in their beers. At least not yet, right?

Hemp is federally legal now, so I don't see why they wouldn't.

Hemp is federally legal now, so I don't see why they wouldn't.
Sweetwater in Georgia has some of these - their 420 series.
I think you can do that ANYWHERE. Seems mostly a gimmick, though, as the ones I've tried were pretty nasty.

Surprised the trend didn't take off with the Austin-area breweries. Haven't seen any that incorporated hemp in recipe.

I make an everclear based tincture that I use to dose my beers. Works well in cocktails, too. It's nice because you can easily control dosage.

B52 in Houston suburb did a CBD beer a while back. Was expensive due to that.

I think you are generalizing the term "herb" in this case.
Herbal notes can refer to a variety of flavors and aromas.
Besides, hops are a close cousin of the herb you are referring to and share similar phenolic compounds.

Louisiana most certainly does not allow CBD to be consumed, whether in a drink or in food.
