They had one in Hammond a few years ago.. because of all of the hype I tried it, worst pizza I've ever had. Needless to say it closed after a few months.

Pizza Dominica on Magazine is really good. Also a decent selection of brews on draft and a great happy hour (1/2 price pizza, draft beer and wines by the glass Monday – Friday 3:00 to 5:00 PM).

Best pizza I've ever had.
I was going to say this. I've been living in Lafayette off Kaliste Saloom since Laura destroyed my home in LC. We've had B&C 4-5x. It's fantastic. Had Alessi once, it was above average, but not great. Haven't had Pizza Village yet. Is it even worth it or should we just stick with B&C?

Friend,
The crust was a bit thick on the edge compared to a traditional Neopolitan, but centrally the crust was perfect. That sauce was perhaps as good as any SM based sauce. Granted it was not as good as the red sauce from Lucali or Rubirosa, but still great. I would put up that Shreveport pizzeria with Keste, Flour + Water, and Via Tribunali.
When it comes to pizza one or two are never enough to really get a taste for the pizza. I take my pizza consumption seriously and unless you are sampling from several pies you cannot really say you’ve had that pizzeria’s pizza.
New Orleans is an embarrassment of pizzas. That we not have a single great pizzeria is a great source of embarrassment to me. Domino’s is better than some of the New Orleans pizzerias that get discussed here, even in this thread, as great.

Oh, cmon. Pizza Delicious is a fine NY style pie, and Ancora is still doing a good job on Freret, despite changes in ownership & chef.
I went to Pizza Domenica on Magazine recently and standards have def slipped there, or maybe it was trainee day. Toppings applied too thickly for the crust, and crust was strangely flavorless. Those garlic knots tho...still worth a trip.

Yeah, it tastes like overly black peppered ground meat on a saltine cracker.

I expect many downvotes but it's worth trying, it's neither the best pizza in the state(or city) nor is it the worst pizza in the world, I'd say Pizza Village and Deanos have a pizza style that's unique to Lafayette and you should try them both before moving back to Lake Chuck. Hope things are on the up and up with your house.

Friend, I find there is good pizza to be had if one but looks.
Pizza Domenica
Pizza Delicious
Ancora
Midway
Mid-City Pizza
Relative Newcomer is Home Grown Pizza in Gentilly which I have been ordering from during the COVID period. They make a very tasty pie.

Good deal. I've had plenty of Deano's (girlfriend in college was a manager at the one on Highland). We'll give it a shot in the next week or so. Thanks for the well wishes!
