These are easily fixable. It's crazy. I have no idea why these anomalies exist, just that it keeps me away from patronizing these establishments.

Top of my list is Houston's. My son and I used to enjoy the pork ribs. We would each order a great salad and split a rack.

(1). Ketchup for the fries came in a small porcelain bowl. This was stupid. Even Chic-fil-A has remedied this problem.

It's ketchup. Why are they so stingy, why do you have to ask for another bowl. Why not just put a bottle of Heinz on the table.

(2). Sweet tea. They don't serve it. They will give you some packets of sugar that will sink to the bottom of your glass. Screw it, just give me a glass of water. This is in Atlanta. Again Chic-fil-A has figured out how to serve tea. Best in the business. My wife orders gallons every week for her office.

It won't stop me from eating somewhere, but when a place has the really fine, powdered black pepper it chaps my arse.

Really pisses me off when they don’t have colored sea salt.

Second on my list is the local McDonalds, that I only frequent before I meet up with a golf group to car pool.

They make a great sausage biscuit for $1. However...

(1). I usually get an orange juice. Half the time, they don't have any. Machine is broken, like the milk shake?

(2). It amazes me that there are more employees inside than there are customers inside and outside and you have to wait. 15 minutes is my limit in the drive through. If I haven't even reached the pay window, I leave.

I once watched an employee cuss out her boss (he stood there and took it) because she wasn't scheduled to work where it was hot. I drove off.

Once when I went inside to order, they called a number, only to find that the other people said she left to get to work, AFTER SHE HAD PAID!

At Ruth's Chris, I asked for an umbrella with my cocktail. They said they didn't have any. I haven't been back.

When they feel the need to post political shite on their social media. Like French Press in Lafayette that said they didn’t want Trump voters in their restaurant. I haven’t been back

I don't eat at McDonalds because of how stingy they are with syrup when you get the pancakes. It's like $5 for the pancakes with a piece of sausage, and they only give you one of those little things of syrup. The little things are only about a spoonful of syrup. They charge 25 cents for a second one. I realize they have to control how many of those they give out, but for the price, I don't think it's ridiculous to expect two of those little things of syrup (for reference, What a burger gives a cup of syrup that has about 4-5 times as much as one of those little tubs McDonalds gives you).

Not deal breakers, but worth at least one strike: (1) consistently bad drink carbonation or bad draft beer lines; (2) out of popular items at peak hours or specials before peak hours; (3) not exotic place asking "have you dined here before"?; (4) bar seats for diners only.

When you use regular pepper instead of freshly ground cracked pepper. I mean come on. And regular salt instead of sea salt, I’m an elitist and deserve better

If a place has a really poor beer list, I tend to not go there.

I’m not saying I will refuse to eat there, I’ll just tend to lean towards somewhere else instead.

I know people that will not eat at places that don't offer discounts for seniors and/or veterans

If you are comparing Houston’s to CFA, then you are not very smart.

Not saying Houston’s is 5 star dining but jeez I’ve never heard someone get angry that the ketchup is in a ceramic cup. Venture outside of the fast food world for a bit buddy.

I think you may expect too much from the restaurants you frequent.
