Houston's

used to eat at one on Paces Ferry in ATL. back in '87-'88. Good times. They served the ketchup in a small silver bowl back then too.

I refuse to dine at places that try to sell me a membership to a discount program. I'm talking about Saltgrass.

When they feel the need to post political shite on their social media. Like French Press in Lafayette that said they didn’t want Trump voters in their restaurant. I haven’t been back

But they didn't say that at all.

not exotic place asking "have you dined here before"?

Now that you mention it, this really is funny to be asked at most places.

Yeah that's annoying.

Also, places that don't bring a cup of salsa per person. I hate that I have to request more salsa all the time.

Mixing politics and business is such an easy concept to understand. It blows my mind that restaurants will alienate half their customer base to appeal to the other (usually smaller) half.

I avoid these places when possible even if I agree with their views

Ate at a walk up fish taco stand in Florida this weekend and the girl asked us if we had eaten there before, we said no then she has this awkward pause and just said “cool what can I get you?” It was awkward to not have any sort of follow up

That's strange. I've always assumed places ask so they can "walk you through the menu". Sometimes I'll just say yes to the question regardless.

I had to look up what they actually said, and it was nothing at all like that poster made it seem. It was a joke making fun of Donald Trump for calling himself a stable genius, which the owner deleted and apologized for.

Hardly anything to get triggered over.

Not saying Houston’s is 5 star dining but jeez I’ve never heard someone get angry that the ketchup is in a ceramic cup

If you're eating at a place where a waiter is coming to your table and taking your order, you are either getting ketchup in a bottle or a ramekin. Not in those squeeze packs. Those are for fast food joints. Heck, at many hamburger and po-boy places where you order at the counter you're getting a bottle or one of those things where you pump ketchup.
