Or maybe some people don't hold back negative comments about what is on here.
I think Mr purple haze went kind of easy on OP.

Exactly, we have a term for this and it's called honesty. I would hope our britches are big enough to handle it and appreciate the criticism.

It's okay Jones. Some folks just can't get over their paternal instinct to protect people from criticism. I feel sorry for their children though. Guess the "everyone gets a trophy" crowd is still alive and well. fricking baby boomers.
As always, I just stated my opinion. I don't go into any thread with an agenda. Unfortunately seems like the majority of Food board posters these days would rather the board but nothing but 1) everyone kissing each others' arse and telling them what a wonderful job they did, or 2) an OT-like thread about fast food or some other such nonsense. Snooze alarm. I'll leave you cats to it.

That's all fine and dandy but some people are just extreme haters.

I don't care what you call that, I'd still eat it.
Posted on 10/8/14 at 9:45 am to carlysstiger
I would eat it
But if you'd just left out the canned goods, you wouldn't have much criticism at all
You can get by with the rotel, but leave the soup out
Also, brown your sausage and pork a little more

I want criticism when I post my processes and dishes. Tell me what I did right, and tell me what I did wrong. Makes it that much better next time I make it. You never improve when smoke is being blown up your arse.

Criticism is fine.
No need to be condescending though.

I made pastalaya once from some recipe I found on here. The pasta soaked up all the water to the right consistency and there was no need to strain it. I cannot remember whose recipe it was.

I actually agree with every single thing youve posted in this thread. I also would eat the shite out of this "pastalaya".

it was freaking delicious.

So you't eat just the french onion and rotel and chicken breast?

Nothing like eating with plastic forks and knives. That's my steak dinner from our man meeting last night.
