In honor of Oktoberfest, what is everyone’s favorite German Oktoberfest, Marzeb or festbier, whichever you prefer and what’s your favorite from anywhere else in the world?

My personal favorite Oktoberfest is the St. Arnold's in Houston. I don't usually like their beer that much, but their Oktoberfest is my favorite in that style by far.

I’m not a big beer guy, but I had a Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest the other day, which I really enjoyed.

I really want to try them again, but haven’t been able to find anywhere. Had them once in Germany and thought it was very good, but been so long can’t compare it anymore.

I think Paulaner marzen is my current favorite from Germany though Augustiner and Weihenstephaner are really solid too.

Domestically, Sierra Nevada and Sam Adam’s are great. Had a Brooklyn brewing one the other day that I really liked.

Hacker Pschorr is my favorite. If you have a Total Wine near you, they’re carrying it right now.

Próst. Local beer garden here in Bham has a solid selection for the next few weeks.

Great Raft makes a good Oktoberfest beer.

Went out to Bayou Teche last Saturday for their Oktoberfest event and all of the beers I tried were really good. Kolsch, Hefeweizen, Festival Beer, and Pilsner.

Not sure where you’re located but they’re both Louisiana breweries. Great Raft in Shreveport. Bayou Teche in Arnaudville. Great Raft distributes. Bayou Teche does not.

Great raft I’ve seen/heard of before. Bayou I had not. Next time I’m over in Louisiana, will have to give them a try.

I do like that one. I like to try all of them, though. Founder's is in the fridge now, it's good but not the best.

I've tried Gnarley, Zony Mash, Great Raft and Parleaux so far this year. I liked Gnarley the best but have a few more on my list.
