Actually saw Hacker Pschorr on the shelf at a metro Atlanta Publix. Previously could only find at Total Wine

A Shreveport retailer told me earlier this year that what he had on the shelf was the last of theirs because they were ceasing distribution. I assumed he meant everywhere and not just in our area.

I have not seen Great Raft on the shelves on the Northshore.

I think the Urban South Marzen is pretty solid.

Paulner is my favorite of the imports.

Sam Adams is good. I just bought a sixer of Shiner's Oktoberfest too. I hope it's good.

I'd love to get my hands on St. Arnold's Oktoberfest if I can find it.

I tend not to drink the Märzen's until the temps dip a little bit more, so I'll be moving from the Weihenstephaner Festbier I've sought out the last couple weeks to the Ayinger Oktoberfest Märzen shortly.

I'll also grab one of each local brewery's offerings each fall, the Great Raft has been solid the last couple of years. Urban South is dropping a wide variety of German-style offerings on Saturday so I'll be interested if those are quality over quantity.

Think they got out of distribution when they opened the Cajun Saucer pizza joint out there and also started serving alcohol. Went to the "brewpub model."

They are all good. Favorite one is the one I'm currently drinking.

Great Raft makes one that is really good. I feel it is not as heavy in the gut. I can pound those 16oz cans.

German Oktoberfest, Marzeb or festbier
Festbier is the only one I can drink from these. Paulaner is my favorite, but I can only find it sporadically and have only seen it in two locations in my area.

I like the Flying Tiger Oktokerbest.... it's like 7% ABV which seems higher than most of that style

I really like the Festbiers over the Marzens, so the Weihenstephaner Festbier is my go to. I like it marginally better than the Paulaner one.

Oddly, I enjoy the Saint Arnold Oktoberfest a lot, probably because it's a Scotch ale and not a traditional German-style Marzen.

I may be thinking of that one instead of the Paulaner. I'll know as soon as the Chevron gets their stock. I my run by this evening.

It's in 500ml cans this year, which I prefer a lot over those stupid 11oz bottles.

Hacker-Pschorr’s Oktoberfest is the best.

But Spaten Oktoberfest and Weisenstephaner Festbier are really good too.
