Johns is great plus it's close to some other good stuff in/around the Village.

Balthazar is a pretty classic spot for brunch.

You'll probably not want to venture out of your way to Queens, but my favorite is Brother's Pizzeria right off the Long Island Expressway by St. John's.

We went to John's on Bleeker. It was good, Joe"s Pizza is just a block or so over so might as well try a slice from there. Both places had long lines but it was around Christmas so it might not always be like that.

Stumbled onto this place when we tried to go to Angelo's without knowing it was closed due to a fire. It was fantastic.

Juliana’s was really good when we went. It is just right over the bridge in Brooklyn. Situated under the bridge actually. Cool location but very popular, be prepared to wait for a table

Joe's Pizza on Carmine Street in the West Village is good.

Ray Romano recently shot a stand up set (on Netflix) at the Comedy Cellar. When it was over, he and his family walked to Joe's for a slice.

I've only been to NYC once and only went to Totonno's, thought it was great. I will def. have to try Prince St.

I've seen 2 positive recs for Sbarro, is this for real ? Just being a 'mall pizza shop' I would have never thought of even trying it if I was in town.

it’s a joke from Michael Scott on the Office tv show. But there is a location right there in Times Square

Handmade pasta, sauces, and pizzas. Nice portions sizes too!

Just like TigerNlc, we happened upon it by chance but didn't regret it one bit! Good food and great ambiance. Wasn't very busy so service was personable and our server was very attentive to my wife-lady's dubious requests. Before we left the place was starting to fill.

Another place that gets overlooked for pizza is Margherita NYC. It's Napolitana style so don't expect slices the size of a card table, but the crust, sauce, and ingredients are good quality!

Safe Travels!
