My wife went full Karen (kinda) at Texas Cattle Company

Wife was hungry, TCC was close.
My wife: "I'd like a hamburger and a baked potato to go".
Texas Cattle Company hostess replies "I'm sorry you can't order a "togo" order unless it is by phone our app or online".
I see the eruption, we are talking Krakatoa.
"Do you want me to call this man, that is standing two feet from me for a hamburger"?
I'm laughing. Karen corporate has met Karen logical.
Karen corporate backed down.
I heard her say to the nice guy manning three monitors, "Okay this time". I'll allow it".

How did she make an "arse" of herself?
She wanted a hamburger and a baked potato.
An employee told her she couldn't have that unless she proscribed to her(corporate?) rules.
"I'll allow it this time" was her remark".
I'll never visit this particular franchise.
I like their charcoal hamburgers. Just not here.

Yep, my go-to when I'm in "Da Parish" and at Rocky & Carlos.
I'll park my arse at the bar, order a beer and whatever I want to eat to go. Sit at the bar, drink a cold beer, catch some of the games on TV and no standing in line to order.

I don’t know what that place is, but as someone who goes in to order takeout so I can have a couple glasses of wine, that policy kinda sucks.

I get that, but I also understand why a sit down restaurant only wants to take online or phone to go orders so trailer park mother frickers don't come in and clog up the entrence or sit at tables while they're waiting 10+ minutes for their food.
It makes it a much cleaner operation.
And I certainly wouldn't chastise a hostess only doing her job over it like the idiot OP

I called Sushi Yama to make a to-go order at 3:50 once. Although their hours are listed as all day, they told me they couldn’t take to-go orders until 4:00. I asked if they could take it now and give it to the chefs in 10 minutes. They obliged
