Weber Genesis 2 Stainless with burner

Debating on my next purchase. Will most likely be a Kamado Joe or the Weber Summit Charcoal.

Allen's Reverse Flow Offset w/ a side burner
Large BGE
Double burner for traveling/camping

Hard to beat a BGE for easy cooks/smokes and hard to beat the reverse flow for quality.

Kamado Joe Classic II 18"

Don't really need anything else. I can smoke, high temp grill, low temp smoke for stuff like jerky, maybe even fish, bake, pizzas, etc...

maybe i am just a simple man, but dont understand why someone needs more than

-smoker (pellet or traditional)
-grill (gas or charcoil)
-griddle

personally i have a napoleon built in, i have a acorn kettle i will get rid of when i move into the new house. I will get a smoker here soon, either pellet or the gravity fed and then i have a griddle insert so no need for that.

i mean if you need to cook a steak, use cast iron on either gas or charcoal. smoke...use a smoker.

all the other shite is doing is cluttering up things imo.

im assuming normal guy with family who grills on weekdays and smokes something on weekends.

Do you have pics of the smoker? I have donated my excess grills to a buddy's BBQ team that does charity events all through the year for the Hogs for a Cause Foundation. Let me know if you are serious.

I didn't buy this one because I heard that the first gen would catch on fire often.

Yep, that's my issue. I have to clean it to bare metal before any high-temp cooking. It doesn't take that long to do, but it defeats the set-it and forget it reason I bought it. It has put out some great briskets, butts, and ribs though.

Green Mountain Daniel Boone
Char-Broil 300 propane
Cuisinart Petit Gourmet propane (for camping)

I live in a condo in the city so the smoker is a win in and of itself. I guess my neighbors like me.

If and when i move south and get a house with a yard I'll be taking the next step with the setup.

I gotcha.

Warning, it is also pretty rusty, will need some refurb work but only on the cosmetic side. It could cook right now.

If fitted with brass valves and everything to hook up a digi q.....current digi q is on the fritz but

double walled and stuffed with ceramic insulation. You could lean on it while it was cooking at 250 and it is barely even warm.

Great cooker, just dont really have a need for it at this time and fixing to move and trying to simplify a few things

And only replied to him first because I have a soft spot for charities
