The worst LSU tailgate jambalaya sounds way better than the food at "the Grove" Saturday which will be party platters from Chick-fil-A along with bisquick sausage balls.

Louisiana's troubled dish. Ain't nothing but a stolen rice recipe, borrowed from the Spanish or African roots, and bastardized over the years. I don't give a damn about the Cajuns making a boudin mixture blah blah blah a bunch of trolling bullshite.
Here's the attention you are after so desperately.

I believe you’re supposed to be seen and not heard.

I’m a bastard enjoying bastardized foods in America and ok with it.

Yet you never tell how it's "supposed" to be made, though.
GFY.

Why does Gonzales think they can claim a Cajun dish when they’re really Mexican
Posted on 9/26/25 at 10:32 am to el Gaucho
Why is no one answering if they rice is supposed to split or not? Downvotes tell me nothing.

The chandelier in the pop up tent puts it over the top, though.

Early European settlers of the area that was developed as Gonzales were, for the most part, of French and Spanish ancestry. They settled among the Houma Indians who lived in the area.

You realize that MOST cajun food is "charity" or poor people food, right?

To me it is. If your rice is fluffy you did it right. I cannot stand parboiled rice. I have friends that use parboil and it always tast like boil in bag rice. If you use boil in bag rice you need to relearn cooking.
