I grew up on Blue Plate, moved north and my wife always used Hellman's which I tolerated.
Visited new Orleans and bought some blue plate which she liked and now we get dukes because we can get it in NJ. She now thinks Hellman's is too sweet

Duke's is heavier than BP, similar to Hellmans.

Duke's is second behind Chic Fil A's mayo.

Then you can have all the miracle whip

And what about that Japanese mayo that Sam the cooking guy raves about?
I switched to Kewpie a couple of years ago. It is great. Only problem is outside of seeing it once at an Albertson's, I have to make a special trip to Asian markets to get it (Although I probably go to the Asian grocery once every month or two)

No, the thread is about Mayo, not miracle whip. Why would you even bring that blasphemy in here?

I like Duke’s but it’s hard to fine. Wife loves Hellman’s so that’s what we get, but I’m indifferent to that or Blue Plate.
I love the kewpie (Japanese) Mayo, but not on things like sandwiches or anything. Use it for like spicy Mayo and stuff.

If it ain’t Blue Plate I probably don’t want it, but I’ve never had Japanese Mayo that he’s always talking about.

You can substitute mayo and miracle whip interchangeably. They are the same thing regardless of what the FDA says. M.W. just has less oil.
I do want to try this blue plate and Dukes. I've had Kraft and Hellmans and I prefer miracle whip over them.

Domestic: Duke’s
Japanese: Kewpie.
I use the Kewpie for anything other than making a sandwich.

Never tried it. I’m cheap I’ll just buy the best choice version.
Usually the light blue cap that’s less fat. The fat free mayo is f’ng disgusting though.

I didn't really care which mayo i bought, until I started using Duke's. Now I only buy Duke's.
It's not like it will change your life, but I do prefer it to others. Makes a nice Alabama White Sauce too.

Have used Duke's, Hellman's, and Blue Plate. I just don't have the taste buds to discriminate among mayo brands in any substantive way.
I usually buy local-regional so Blue Plate then Duke's.

No. It's not as good as Blue Plater or Hellman's but it's better than Kraft.

Blue Plate was the taste test winner for America's Test Kitchen. Case closed.

I have always felt that mayo was one of those things that tastes exceptionally better when it’s homemade. (You can add stuff like garlic).
But. I rarely make it- idk why not.
Usually buy the Hellman’s made from olive oil.
