Blue Plate is better, but Duke’s is a close second.

So, I bought a little jar of Blue Plate and Dukes this morning.

I'm legit sitting here eating mayo with a spoon and on some ruffles potato chips.

I have to say that the Blue Plate is better than Dukes. Dukes is lightly more sourish tasting than BP.

After eating both and then trying some Miracle Whip, They are not the same at all flavor wise. I do enjoy the tang, zip, and fluffiness of the Miracle whip though.

In all honesty, if I were just going to sit here and eat a jar of one of these with a spoon, it would be the blue plate.

I like mayo on some foods but on Ruffles sounds nasty

I grew up eating Blue Plate. It's all we ever had in our house. I guess in my mind it's what mayo is supposed to taste like.

Best Foods = Hellman’s

That’s all the hot Mayo talk I have to offer.

Duke’s was started by the dog from the Bush’s beans commercial.

Like I said, I've been eating Hellmann's my entire life... but, like the blind taste tests I did for boudin in the past, I'm going to do one for mayo, using Hellmann's, Blue Plate, Duke's, and Kraft. I'll post the results once I'm finished.

I use Blue Plate, Duke's, and Kewpie all pretty regularly. I honestly can't tell you which I prefer of the three. I use more Blue Plate simply because it's normally more readily available.

Can you add Kewpie to that test?

The reason why I prefer Duke's is they don't add any sugar.

Mayo should not have sugar, and Blue Plate and Hellman's have sugar in them.

Therefore, Duke's is superior.
