It’s a fine spot to grab some wings and beer but the service is almost universally horrible

Eating at a BWW is quite the shitty experience.
Now that you can buy their sauces at any major retailer I don't see why anyone would step foot in there restaurants again.

They’re a hollow corporate shell of what used to be a great restaurant. It’s sad. I stopped going years ago. And before that I stopped for awhile then would go again just to see if maybe I was wrong, only to be disappointed again. They’re just awful.
BW-3 back in the day was awesome, though. 10¢ wings on Tuesdays. A dozen wings for $1.20 was a pretty good deal for a poor college student. And back then their wild sauce had two ingredients: hot sauce (Frank’s, allegedly, but I can’t confirm) and butter. Maybe they added vinegar. You buy a bottle of their wild sauce now and the ingredient list is a mile long with a lot of chemical-sounding names. The buffalo chips used to be sliced potatoes. Now they’re little artificial, crinkle-cut disks of processed potato meal.
It started going downhill as soon as they ditched the Weck.

The wings are almost always overcooked and they're overpriced. I quit going there.
We don't have much of choice here in town as far as wing places go but Wingstop is pretty decent.

The BWW in Metairie on Veterans and Severn has been shuttered since Hurricane Ida, I don't think they are coming back. Good riddance.

quote:My last BWW experience had severely undercooked wings. I was able to eat 2 out of the 10 in my takeout order. I used to like going there especially when they had BOGO wings, but now the quality is much worse and they don't do BOGO tuesdays any longer.

eh, is what it is which is a large national chain so yea, wont be the greatest thing ever. but its normally....fine, kinda. and you can normally get a pretty good beer special
so yea, wouldnt take someone out to it for dinner or whatever but if im looking to pound some wings and beer during a game its not the worst option. even if it wouldnt be my first choice for that either

I’ll get slammed for this but I rank them towards the top on my wing list, and definitely better than pluckers and hooters. And those cheesy potato wedges are awesome. I will admit their service is horrible though and if you get anything to go it’s almost always fricked up

I love their seasoned wedges with cheese.
Only reason I occasionally order bww.
But man did I love them back in HS.
Post up at the big buck hunter game on 25 cent wing night with a few buddies and hang out for 3 hours.

I’ve never had a problem with service there, but I’ve mostly sat at the bar. There’s one here in a shopping center with a Target and a bunch of other stores the Mrs likes to shop at, so I’ll have her drop me off there while she shops. I usually don’t eat anything, just have a couple of beers.
The restaurant side of the place gets pretty disgusting on Saturday afternoons though, and there are usually large tables of kids’ sports teams, so I get why the service sucks. It takes the servers a while to pre-bus the complete mess people leave.

That's the last one that I visited, which was about four years ago. Total shitshow from service to food to total trash customers.
Of course you have to expect the servers will be bottom of the barrel due to the situation. They work their arse off bringing out cheap wings and cheap beer to tables who sit for hours watching sports and don't make much.

Used to go to BWW all the time in college (2003-2008). One time at the bluebonnet location, a dude walked over to the drink dispenser, bent over and put lips on the orange fanta and hit the lever. Drank for a second and walked away. I have literally never been back.

Hey, to each his own.
Their wings are just not all that great. They aren't bad, but topped with their usual horrible service, there's just no reason to ever go eat there. I've been to a few over the years, and the service is shitty every single time. It's quite amazing how one chain can have consistent shitty service in different states.
I'd eat Pluckers anyday, except for the one by the mall. frick that place.
Hooters wings are terrible. They might be the worst tasting wings out there.
as others have said, if i'm eating chain restaurant wings, it's Wingstop without a doubt. I can order it online, drive over and pick it up and be back home about as quick as it would take me to go to chik fil a right next door to it on Siegen.
I'll always judge any wing place on their original buffalo wings, and wingstop has great ones, but the lemon pepper and the mango habanero are great as well.

They have the toughest wings I've ever eaten. Yuck!!

20 all flappers Spicy Garlic, naked, extra crispy, extra wet are simply the best ever.

We used to go all the time a few years back. We have 2 in our area and they have really went downhill in service. I'll only go if my tech's want to eat there on a whim. However, both of them stay crazy busy and mostly packed for lunch and dinner so I must be in the minority. Also, their Mango Habanero sauce is the GOAT.

Their sauces are really good.
Boneless wings are pretty bad. Regular wings are ok.

Locally if I want to go to a chain for wings and beer, I like our Twin Peaks 1000% better than BWW. Last time I went inside our local BWW, I almost slipped on their greasy floor, got carded and waited 10min for a beer. I'm damn near 50yrs old! We walked out and went to Twin Peaks.

It is the only place I have ever been to that can make a simple hamburger awful. If I am stuck there I get a salad. Even they cannot screw up lettuce.

The first meal I've ever sent back in my life (maybe 3-4 total) was boneless wings from the Lafayette BWW. Just disgusting and jelly like.
