I’ve never eaten there (with pride). I’m anti-chain to begin with, besides the fact that they poisoned hundreds of people, nothing about them has appealed to me.

I had Moe's a handful of times around here before the store near me went out of business. It was strange, I thought the food was bland/tasteless, no matter what I put on it. I didn't hate it. It just had no taste.

That Chipotle pork is worth the diarrhea risk.

Had it for lunch earlier this week, they're keto-friendly which is great but Taco Bell is the best late night/hangover food on the planet.

Most restaurants are keto friendly if you just ask. Taco bell is.

I stayed in Maple Grove a few years ago when I was working at Monticello Nuclear. I thought Rusty Taco had some excellent Tex-Mex.

Torchys is better than the ones named but is probably considered "new american" with some tex Mex.

If you have to go to a chain, this one’s good.

Izzo’s used to be great but that place has fallen off big time. The meats used to be flavored and fresh. Now even at busy hours they taste bland. Oh and the Covington location is just bad. The Baton Rouge locations are better tasting.

Lots of solid mentions in here, especially Torchy's and Taco Cabana. Chipotle is great for people who do the whole macro/calorie counting thing. As far as fast food goes, that's about as healthy as you can get. Others that I've enjoyed over the years which I didn't see mentioned in the thread:

- Rubio's: their big thing was fish tacos, which I liked as a kid. They only have them out west (CA, NV, CO)

- Blue Coast Burrito: similar to Moe's and Izzo's, but I always thought they tasted a little better. Popular in Arkansas and Tennessee

- Sombrero: if you're ever around San Diego, do yourself a favor and score some burritos from a Sombrero. You'll never want to eat at Taco Bell again. Bonus - if you're a Blink 182 fan, you owe it to yourself to make a pilgrimage and sign the wall

- Fuzzy's Tacos: real hit or miss depending on location, the one in Baton Rouge was always terrible (back about 7 years ago), but others have been to have been damn decent

***Dishonorable Mention*** Taco Bueno: this place makes Taco Bell look like Ruth's Chris. You wanna feel like dogshit for a couple of days? Order a taco burger and a side of guacamole.

It ain’t Tex mex, but the US would be a much happier place overall if everyone had access to Rubios fish tacos.
