I'll make my mashed potatoes today and just pop them in the oven to heat tomorrow. Also making my sweet potato casserole, except for the nut/crumb topping which I'll make tomorrow and sprinkle on top before popping in the oven.

Made dressing and turkey broth/stock from roasted wings for gravy a few weeks ago. Made sweet potato casserole last night minus the topping. I had to quadruple the recipe. Big crowd tomorrow. Friend made the turkey but I have to carve and warm it tomorrow. Others are making other sides.

I could not live well without double ovens. I look at houses for sale just to look at kitchens for fun. Huge houses with one oven and microwave hoods. Makes no sense to me.

Before they enlarged the kitchen, my parents’ kitchen was pretty small. She had double ovens and a convection oven in another space.

How many grills ya got?

I'm doing it simple, as there are just 3 of us.

Turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce. Turkey goes on the kettle. Won't be using the oven at all. Bought 2 half pies for dessert and will make some homemade whipped cream.

Cornbread dressing made, but process not photographed. Unexpected company.

Gonna work on cranberry relish and dessert next.

Sweet potato crunch was picked up from Joey’s.

I just got the black-eyed peas going and sat down with a drink. We are not hosting and bringing those and charcuterie, dessert board, corn casserole, and sangria. Remainder will be put together/made tomorrow.

That’s a nice kitchen. I like the subway tile backslash

Agreed. Also like that there is a window by the sink. That might be a must have in my next house.

Just put a brisket on my kamado joe. I'm following it up with a turkey in the morning.

I'll take the turkey out of the brine in an hour or so and inject it then let the skin dry in the fridge overnight.

That's it. The rest is the wife's job.

You got a recipe for that? My mother-in-law's is terrible and that looks amazing. I'd like to just show up with it unannounced.

Why not top the sweet potato casserole when you prep? I made it all and threw it in the fridge to bake tomorrow.

Item one, thank you for going larger window in front of the sink.

Item two, stove to the left? Youre a mad woman.

Two Mississippi mud pies made. One cheesecake. Half amarena cherries. Half caramel. Still need to make whipped cream...

Breakfast currently cooking.

Rack of pork in sous vide bath.

Others are cooking everything else this year. Hopefully they don't screw it up again...

As soon as I get some coffee in me, the youngster fed, and a fire going, I'll start burning wood in the pit.

Rolling with the 13# Brisket at the moment. Should be off smoker and resting by 830-9.

Will then begin pastalya and creole butter turkey breast along with Mac and cheese.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
