re: I'm sure this has been asked before, but who makes the best boudin in Louisiana?

I love Best Stop but damn they’ve had a heavy hand with the cayenne lately. I don’t mind a bit of a kick, but a little more nuance isn’t a bad thing

Bourque’s in Port Barre
This and T-Boys are my favorites.

Best Stop smoked boudin is my go to. For regular boudin, I like Kartchners and Bourques. Everyone has different taste buds and prefers varying amounts of rice, meat, liver, green onions, and seasoning. My wife will only eat Rays in Opelousas which I find bland and dry. The Best is subject to what boudin you like the most
Kartchners and Bourques have the advantage of being located down the road from each other on Johnston St, instead of requiring a trip out to Scott or Port Barre/Krotz Springs.

Best stop and kartchner’s and the rest of store bought boudin are just okay
The best boudin you are gonna get is at a farmers market or homemade

1. Juneau’s
I like the links from Juneau’s, the boudin balls are ok, a little salty IMO. That’s from the location in Washington Parish not Marksville.

Kartchner's smoked is my go to. Billy's not far behind. Best Stop in a pinch.

Juneau’s in marksville , Guillory’s in pineville , and the Superette in Eunice are all solid .

Nope this is totally the first time it's been discussed.

Bourque’s and Billy’s are my #1 and #2. There are plenty I have not tried though.
Rabideaux’s makes a damn good boudin that doesn’t get discussed much here.

I stop at Kartchner's every time I pass it.

My favorite is Bubba's at the Mowata Store, on Hwy 13 between Eunice and Crowley.

G and M meat market in Jeanerette makes great boudin. Pick up some cracklings while you are there, you won't be disappointed.

It's the best boudin I've ever had. However, I went by there not long after the new store opened some years back and it didn't seem nearly as good. If it's returned to how it was in the olden days I need to get back by there.

I used to say Best Stop, but Kartchner’s has taken the throne and it’s not particularly close
