There’s a sandwich called the north shore beef that people do like. I’ve never had it but need to make the drive to the north shore to try one. Looks messy as hell.

No way in hell I'm even ordering that atrocity. I like meat on a sandwich, but I also like to be able to eat it without having a mouth the size of a hippo to even fit it between my jaws.

Not to mention likely needing a bib and a roll of paper towels to wipe the crap off my face, hands and arms trying to eat that monstrosity.

I thin sliced leftover prime rib and made sandwiches on soft hamburger buns with horseradish sauce, a little extra mayo and sliced onions over the holidays. Man it was a delicious sandwich.

Enjoyed that more than serving the prime rib straight up honestly.

Those cold NY-style delicatessen type sandwiches are always just sort of meh.

THIS, however, is a little slice of heaven and will be my deathbed meal if the good Lord allows...

Pot Roast poboys > sliced roast beef poboys

But I’ll devour both.

Get wrekt… beef sandwhiches as a whole are great and they are varied!

NY Deli Pastrami
Philly cheese steak
Baltimore Pit Beef
Chicago Italian Beef
French Dip
Roast Beef Poboy
BBQ Beef Poboy
Straight up Roast Beef on white bread

All are terrific sandwiches which are made even better with mayo

Anyone that dislikes mayo does not have a palette for good food. And I hope you realize that makes your opinion worthless

There's a local sports guy here that claims to despise mayo, but then it got brought up that he loves aioli

The idiot says any sandwich that has mayo is garbage, but he pimps poboys as though they aren't generally coming with mayo. I can't imagine eating a shrimp or oyster poboy without mayo.

Yeah that’s fair.

Do you at least agree that you would devour both though?

Beef on weck is not overrated and it's a simple roast beef sandwich.
