I remember not liking it at all as a kid. My dad loved the stuff.
I made an Asian salad tonight (it’s on WFD thread).
I pan fried strips of Spam until they were crispy. The are pretty damn good. I did buy the lower sodium Spam.
I can see it going great in fried rice or a side for breakfast.

Pan fried spam is so good.

Put on bread or toast with little mustard. Mmmmm

Or just thin fried by itself.

Had some recently. I hadn't had it since I was a kid. It was good, but very, very salty. Next time I'd the low sodium one. Didn't even know that was an option.

All the foodie types on social media rave about spam, and Latitude 29 makes a good app with it. But you gotta get the low sodium variety.

Grew up eating the stuff. Get some white bread, mayo and mustard and BAM! There’s your sandwich. I know what I’ll be having this weekend …

I grew up on spam. Loved it. My wife has declared our house a no spam zone though. Ha! I’ve been wanting to get some and try to smoke it then pan fry.

They love this shite on Guam and in Hawaii. It's a staple. Spam and rice. Anyway, the only way I'll eat it is sliced really thin (almost bacon thin) and fried crispy.

You can actually get bacon flavored spam.

My dad loved it and ate it often along with potted meat.

For some reason I always liked the potted meat but couldn't stand spam.

I did not eat it growing up, I didn't finding super appealing. I only recently really started eating it. I learned to make spam musubi and its pretty awesome little snack. probably not great as for you as far as sodium levels but pretty awesome.

Spam, potted meat, and vienna sausages. Grew up eating all three. A can of the smoke flavor vienna sausages and a pack of saltines was usually what we ate when fishing. We'd mix a tiny bit of mayo in with the potted meat. Just enough to cover the end of a butterknife, and mix it in the can before making sandwiches with it. I thoroughly grossed my wife and kids out one time eating it. My son tried it and loved it though. Wife and daughter couldn't imagine even trying it.

Fried spam, potatoes, and onions were like a weekly staple growing up.

That was when it wasn’t such a “premium” food item lol.

This is the key. Lower Sodium version, and slicing thin and pan frying. I enjoy it.
