How much do you notice single use plastic or styrofoam when you eat out?

I can’t unsee it. A restaurant near me has good food but everything they use is styrofoam and plastic that goes straight into the landfill. I have hard time going there to be honest because all I can see is the bags of thousand year old trash being created.

I take my tumbler into restaurants that I know have plastic cups for their water. Even have bamboo forks that I will use instead of plastic.

It was easier before I started noticing this.

I notice it every time. While bothered, I choose not to be bothered.

I would say that it's the last thing on my mind, but it's not even something that registers.

Plastic is an unavoidable byproduct of other things you do

So? Don't care. Landfills don't take up much space.

It can take up to 500 years for a Styrofoam cup to decompose.

That's a really good cup.

Pretty much how I am. More and more places are going away from it though.

You ever seen how small styrofoam shrinks when put deep underwater? Just dump it in the oceans and all will be fine.

Ever see how quick a styrofoam cup catches on fire and melts into almost nothing?

Haven’t given it a thought except that fried food to go needs to be vented.

Lord you remind me of my sister-in-law....she restlessly posts about how she is zero waste and how amazing she is because she avoids single use items, not to mention making remarks to anyone she visits who does. She's gotten so fricking irritated I actually have started getting some joy out of throwing single use things away

Between coffee and water I probably use 8-10 styrofoam cups a day in my office

I really do not care. If it is legal I am using it. Not my fault styrofoam does not break down, I don’t make it. I buy or use what is convenient.
