Is everywhere adamant about checking vax cards? Would come for a long weekend and probably hit some combination of Peche, Herbsaint, Clancy’s, Atchafalaya, Couchon and/or La Petite Groc. This is a trip that we used to always make between Christmas and New Years until the world went mad. It would be nice to do it again. Tia

There are no restrictions, but yes most do look at vax cards. Not very thoroughly, however,

I ate in the FQ Monday night. They checked all vax cards/LA Wallet app, but masks were not required in the restaurant.

Set up free Covid test at cvs or Walgreens. Get results in a day. Eat wherever you want

Not as bad as the risk of lead poisoning.

Just make a copy or get a picture of someone else's card.

Gotta have a vax card. I’ve been to 4 restaurants this week. 2 checked the cards well and looked at names. 2 saw a card and said ok.

If you don’t have a card, get a test. If not, don’t complain when you go and get turned away.

They mostly check to see if you have a vax card. They dont check the name against your ID or anything.

Can’t do it man. Something about having to produce papers to eat somewhere I can’t get over. I understand it’s their right to require it. I just can’t get on board.

Agreed. I dine out more than the average person, but since the vaccine mandate for nola restaurants started I have refused to dine in orleans parish, and wont until they stop this madness! I have happily not had a problem in Jefferson or St. Bernard!

I have found this to be pretty rare as time has gone on.

The ultra hipster/liberal places are doing it but not many else.

They glance at my LA Wallet and that's it

I was in town a few days ago. Every place wanted to see my card except the hotel restaurant.

And since October, they allow antigen tests right? My test will be antigen because PCR either won’t be ready in time or will be too old. Don’t want anyone giving me grief.

What’s crazy is that you can walk in a store with no vaccine card but then walk in the restaurant directly next to the store and you have to show a card. I agree it’s terrible and makes no sense. But you can’t change it, so either choose to follow the rule or choose to don’t go.

Just about every sit down place I've been too lately has asked to see my card... but none have asked to see my ID to check against the card.

Also tons of places are closing right now because employees are getting sick again. They are about to get tight about it I reckon

Did Commanders last week, they glanced at our vac cards, Mandinas did not ask, we ate outside at Santa Fe so no proof needed there, of all places to ask, Liuzza's by the Track asked last Saturday when we stopped to grab some lunch,my wife didn't have hers so we sat outside to place an order to go but then found out they had no chicken left.
