I’ll eat it with fruits and nuts but it’s not my favorite. My plan is to smoke some chicken to use for it so I’ll have that going for me. What’s your favorite things to add?

Mine's pretty basic:
Pulled chicken
Red onion
Celery
Green bell pepper
Jalapeño
Dill relish
Mayo
Yellow Mustard
Celery seed
S/P
I like mine chunky.

I like my chicken salad to be simple.
Kind of chunky when it comes to the chicken and no nuts or grapes even though I don't mind eating it that way.
I do add onion but I like to grate it so you don't notice the crunch. A little goes a long way.
I think the most important ingredient is lemon juice. Once I figured out how much I liked that, I became satisfied with what I was making.
I'm a big fan of dark meat for most dishes but chicken salad is one where I think white meat is superior.
Here are the main ingredients I use.
chopped chicken
lemon juice
grated onion
chives
Dijon
Mayo
salt
white pepper
paprika

It's actually really good. Definitely different than traditional which I also enjoy.

It's really only the cinnamon throwing me.
I can preemptively taste the skyline chicken salad.

I don't know how wide spread w. g. Grinders was, but it's their recipe.

This seems right on to me. I'd add a little Thai Fish Sauce. Its a trust-fall but quite nice.

Mine is pretty simple.
I go to Calvin's Bocage Market and pick up a deli container containing chicken salad.
I put it on bread or crackers then go fishing.
Great every time.

My daughter makes some of the best.
She adds Craisin‘s, Chopped Fine Walnuts, Green Onions and Avocado Mayo!

I don’t know how people eat chicken salad without celery. That’s a deal breaker

Whatever Rice City Liquor in Crowley does. They keep it simple. Chicken, mayo, spices, that’s about it.
I don’t want a bunch of raisins and cranberries and shite in my chicken salad.

Not homemade, but in a pinch, Sam’s chicken salad is pretty good. It’s a little mayo heavy and the chicken is chunky, but it’s got celery in it. I add a little pickle, mustard and celery seed and it works when I don’t want to make it
